Fantasia is one of the original boba shops in the Bay, and it's still clicking strong after all these years, while other franchises (Tapioca Express, Quickly, Lollicup) are disappearing quicker than MBZ hood emblems. The drinks are not the best around, but what the people come back for is the ambience. The perfectly positioned (feng shui approved) corner lot provides ample lighting and plenty of room for clientele to enjoy themselves.
Of all the tapioca shops I've been to from the Bay to LA, few can rival the feeling of homeliness and overall comfort of this place. Most of all, it is most definitely the "in spot" for the local parachute kids (HK, JP, KR, TW) to kick it, so you know there is plenty of eye candy abound to satisfy your every need.
The staff should probably receive numerous violations from the Smile Police, but other than that, they are very friendly and helpful, not looking down on noobs who ask tons of questions about certain drinks.
