Evolve Salon & Day Spa

If I could give less than one star I would! I used a Groupon deal to get permanent makeup. I couldn't understand the very few instructions the technician gave as the salon was filled with the noise of dozens of hair blowers and she had a very strong accent. She seemed very annoyed that I asked what the eyebrows would look like, what color /post procedure care was needed. During the procedure she constantly stabbed me in the eye with her fingers and then scolded me for flinching when she did. She often “forgot” to use the numbing cream and the process was very painful as well. When she was done and handed me a mirror I about had a heart attack! My eyebrows could only be described as “Angry Birds”. The technician brushed off my concerns and said “they will fade”…. She thrust a small plate with a cookie and plastic cup filled with water at me while she put a stool up next to where I was sitting. Then she grabbed the plate and set it on the stool. I wasn’t sure what was going on so I ignored it and continued to put ice on my eyebrows. When she came to check on me 20 min later she said “you have to eat that” and pointed to the plate.. I gave her a huge tip but figured I would NEVER, EVER return to that salon! Too bad my use of Evolve left me with such a permanent mess!!! I should have never been tempted with the Groupon and I’m headed back to Elase Medical Spa where Crystal always is the most knowledgeable, skilled, master esthetician I have ever known! more

I have been going to this salon for years. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my hair and skin care needs. Erika works magic on my crazy curly hair and Lyndsy works spa magic! The environment is very friendly yet professional. Everyone is very courteous and listens to what you really need. I highly recommend Evolve Salon!!!! :) more

I just got home from my monthly waxing, eyelash tint, eyebrow tint/wax with Lyndsy. She is so great! For saying she's pulling out hair you'd hardly know it. She's really gentle and makes sure that I'm always comfortable! I also have a monthly facial with Lyndsy as well. My skin was so red and blotchy just two years ago and now my 49 year old face can pass for 35. I love that I always get a scalp massage, whether it's a facial or just an eyebrow wax/tint. It's just part of the service! One of my favorite things is spending time at Evolve Salon & Day Spa with Lyndsy. I can hardly wait for my Aruvatic Massage & Reflexology Treatment on Saturday! more

I have had Keena do my hair a few times now and she is amazing! She makes you feel so comfortable, she is so sweet and my hair always looks fabulous when she is done. It seems that everyone working there gets along great and I am always greeted when I walk in, even when everyone is busy. I just recently had my toes done by Kim and she is a doll! She did Gelish on my toes and they lasted forever. It's a great place! more

I recently got a facial and a 90 min massage for my birthday. It was the most amazing treatment I have ever had. My skin felt so nice and hydrated after my treatment and my muscles were all relaxed. After the treatment Lindsay (the esthetician/massage therapist) Kindly recommended what products my skin needed. I bought a sample kit and am in love with product and am excited to have her custom blend some big sizes just for me! I highly recommend this spa it's so nice and You feel like you've gone to heaven afterward. :) more

When I called to set an appointment, I explained that I was looking for a new stylist. I was scheduled with someone they said was very skilled. She did a decent job, but was overpriced for the services. What I can't figure out is why they put me with someone who was moving out of town within a couple of weeks. Had I known that, I would have asked for someone else. more

I went to get the custom facial since the spa offered a $60 service on Groupon earlier. They woman who helped me offered to put cream on my hands and feet since I came a little early. I agreed thinking that this was a nice extra service. Low and behold, she charged me $40 for these extra services. On top of that, she was very aggressive about selling me overpriced spa products and my face felt extremely greasy after the facial. Overall, terrible. more

I have to say I had a horrible experience at Evolve Day salon today. I schedule an appointment for a highlight and haircut nearly 4 weeks ago. I arrived on time at 10am and there were two receptionists waiting at the front desk. I could see my stylist was already with another client, so I waiting patiently. After about 15 minutes of waiting one of the receptionists asked “does she know you’re here?” Isn’t that your job to tell her? Finally 10 minutes later (after I had been waiting 25 minutes, she finally came and got me. She sat me in the chair and began my consult when the receptionists pulled the stylist away from me and told her she had another appointment. They said she was accidentally double booked and they asked me to reschedule for another day – even though I had been the one on time and waiting for almost 30 minutes. I left the salon as they asked, but I do not intend to return. their online booking system does not accurately schedule appointments, if your staff is typically running 30 minutes behind, and when they tell clients to just leave horrible place. more

I recently got married and Evolve took care of EVERYTYHING for me! I started about 4 months before my wedding getting my hair and nails done for engagement pictures. Erika, the owner, helped me pick out the perfect products to keep my hair healthy and shiny. Two weeks before the wedding I got my hair cut and colored, and then we experimented with different styles to go with my veil. I also got a full body wrap and lost 6 inches! The day of my wedding they treated me like a queen! I felt like the prettiest girl in the world! I appreciate everything the staff at Evolve did to make my special day magic! more

This salon is so nice. The girls are friendly and the owner is really involved in everything. My hair always looks perfect and I have seen a couple of different stylists when my usual girl (Elizabeth) isn't available. There isn't any drama there which is apparent since the girls all get along. I feel bad when I have to go to another stylist but they are nothing but friendly about it..there isn't the "stealing" attitude there. I have gotten a facial too and it was the best one I've ever had...so relaxing! I wont go anywhere else. Pros: Clean, Friendly staff, talented stylists Cons: none more

I was seeking out a new place to get my nails done after the person I have always gone to moved. I found Evolve Salon and Day Spa, and made an appointment. I showed up on time, and waited. And Waited. And waited.... Finally, the nail tech was free 45 MINUTES LATE. The nails took twice as long as they should, looked like absolute crap (too thick, uneven, bumpy, etc.) and then came off in 2 DAYS! I wrote a letter to the owner, letting her know how bad it was - NEVER HEARD A WORD BACK! I would NOT recommend Evolve for nails. Pros: None Cons: Unprofessional, Bad Quality more

I didn't have an appt but the staff made me feel very comfortable and important. I was greeted immediately and was able to get an appt right away. I got highlights and a haircut for a very reasonable price. Honestly I would have paid a lot more for the outcome. I will never go to another salon, I have found one after years of searching! I have been doing hair for 10 years now and this is the best salon I have ever worked at. The talent in this salon is amazing. It is very well staffed & managed. I have been to every good salon in the valley and could never find a stylist that I liked and that could manage to do my hair right every time. A friend referred me to Erika at Evolve and I haven't looked back. Every time I schedule an appointment I know without any doubt that my hair will be perfect and not overpriced. I used to go to an Aveda salon downtown and found that although I liked the finished product it would usually set me back $250-$400. I went to Evolve and got the same thing done (as I did at the other salon) LOVED the finished product and it cost me LESS than half the price I was used too. Erika out does herself every time I get my hair done! She never fails to come up with an idea to make my hair look better and better each time I go without giving me some new crazy style. She really takes the time to match colors with my skin tone, and always gives great recommendations about style and cuts. I won't ever see another stylist! I've never had anyone understand my idiotic descriptions of what I want my hair to do like Erika. The woman is the round brush queen, she can work miracles with that thing. I love that each month (not annoyingly often) I receive an email of the monthly specials & they are always great! They are so good at working with my weird schedule & are so reasonably priced. I would (and do) recommend to anyone! Also nice is the fact that you can book your appointment online. I went back & read old reviews, and I think it kinda sucks because this is a totally new place from Salon of Italy, new ownership and all, so you can't really read those old ones. mmmmkay? I have been going to Elizabeth for years now. She does an amazing job everytime and it's nice not having to worry about having bad hair cuts anymore! I would recommend this place to everyone! Pros: Great and talented employees more

I moved to Utah a few years ago and havent been able to find a stylist who could do just what I wanted. I have had some horrible cuts and colors in my search for the right stylist. I found this salon online and decided to give it a try. Elizabeth was amazing! She was the first person to give me EXACTLY what I wanted. My cut and color were perfect. I went to the same person for about 7 years. When she changed locations it was a little too far away for me to travel so I started looking elsewhere but was extremely nervous. A friend recommended that I try Erika at Evolve. I have been going to her ever since and could not be happier. My color is always exactly like I want it and she is always so willing to make any adjustments if it's not. I always love the way it looks when I leave and the prices are very fair! I love the look and feel of the Salon and don't plan on going anywhere else anytime soon. I would recommend this salon to anyone! Pros: great cuts, color, and prices more
