Elgin Hyundai

Called and scheduled a appointment to look at a car.Drove one hour to get there and they didn't have the vehicle ready. When the salesman Mo went to the back of the lot to get it and bring it up it was filthy and had mud on it! These cars are supposedly put through a 160 point inspection and immediately we noticed a piece of the hood laying in the back end of the vehicle..There was also burn holes in the seat and a hole in the windshield! We still offered to purchase the vehicle with cash but about 1000 lower then they were asking and they basically laughed at us and said no deal! They wouldn't even negotiate with us. We would of had to fix the windshield and the hood and spend money out of our own pocket and they wouldn't even reduce they price at all! Basically Mo just dismissed us..We will never go there ever again and we are telling everybody we know about it so they will tell people never to go there either! Awful salesman and dealership! Total waste of our time.. more

Sales person should be commended for his expert services to purchase a car, he saved us money on our transfer of the extended warranty that we took in for the trade, Something we never expected! more

Best buying exprnce ever! BRENT is the best! We usually buy our cars from Bredeman and lately they'd been bad about our Highlander so I called up my buddies over at Elgin toyota and told them I wanted to trade in my troublesome 2005 tC and I wanted an 07....TODAY! It was probably the best buying experience I ever had, they made sure I approved everything, even driving the car from another location back to Elgin, and I asked for no front plate (no holes please!) and to this day the car still has no front plate, just the way I like it. Since then I have bought an xB from them and sent in my cousin as well to buy a tC, she was extremely happy with her purchase too, go Elgin Scion! more

My salesman Frank White exceeded the highest standard in regards to making sure the customer was getting exactly what they wanted. His attitude was fantastic and after speaking to him for a short while I felt like I'd known him for years. That's how easy going it is to talk to him. Not once did I feel as though he was attempting to sucker me in to buying this and that to blow up the sticker price(like MANY salesman do). Actually I told him what I was looking for and he made it happen. more

After reading a bunch of horror stories I didn't want to go to Elgin Toyota. The prices were too tempting so I though it may be worth it. I called ahead and drove 1.5 hours to get there. They had the car, it was in great shape and we bought it with an out of state check just before closing. Cars move fast there so beware if you have to drive to get there! When we called there were two at the same price and same mileage-when we arrived there was only one (I looked at the salesman’s computer screen over his shoulder and the time stamp of purchase checked out with his story). I kind of regret reading all of the bad reviews because I walked in with a bad attitude and walked out pleased. As with any big purchase just be ready to run if there is anything suspicious and don't be desperate. more
