late-night hangout 8/12/2005

For those who are looking for something to do at night in the suburbs of the Bay Area, this provides a nice alternative place to hang out after everything else closes. There are many pool tables available, so the wait isn't usually too long, and they are well-maintained. It's mostly for a younger crowd, as many high schoolers seem to have adopted this as a favorite hang-out. more

Cool Pool 8/5/2005

I've been attending Edgies since I was a junior in high school. It is a great place to play pool; however, it can be pretty crowded on weekend nights. Still, it has the perfect setting for pool. It offers music and refreshments. Also if you're tired of playing pool, you can pay to use their computers to play games or just browse the net. One of my favorite things about Edgies is that they offer student discount rates, which lets any amount of players play for six dollars an hour. Overall I highly recommend Edgies if you're ever interested in pool. more

highschool hangout 8/5/2005

I am not a big fan of pool, after about three times, I am still basically a beginner. Edgies is popular with my friends who play often because the only other alternative nearby is a run-down pool hall in the 'dead' part of town that is frequented by old men. Edgies is the opposite, it is still somewhat new and the facilities are well-maintained and modern. The teenage crowd gets on my nerves because it feels like they are more interested in socializing and putting on a 'cool' image rather than just playing the game. more
