Crown keeps my business 11/2/2010

Mmmmmmm~ ! I love all the Crown Burgers! It is just the best quality tasting burger I can get by driving through. They love call in orders too. Fresh grilled mushrooms & The fries are teriffic and pleanty-full (and not fried in 'peanut oil, {uck to 5 Guys}...) . I often see Mike at the Highland drive location, and his extended family. That's what makes it great - connection - food & for this O+ Blood type, great meat! (forgettabout those blow-n'go upstarts, stay with a winner! stay with local! stay with Crown!) Oh, and the chicken sandwich is a winner too, as well as the kabobs! more

Best Food Ever 9/22/2008

I know first hand that Crown Burgers buy's the highest quality ingridients because I personally sold to them for many years. This is a family chain of Restautanteurs not Entrepreneurs. With at least one owner/family member in every store at all times!! Walk into a store and ask them to see the burger they will cook for you, and then go into a Carl's Jr., Burger King, Wendy's Etc. and ask the same question. At Crown Burgers an actual person cooks your food not a conveyer belt. Fresh meat and produce is delivered daily, all vegetable no transfat oil is used for frying, dressings are made in house with fresh ingredients, from local business' not some national company looking at a bottom line of profits. Do you think that the national chain restautants care about the quality they buy, or is it the price they pay to boost there profits. Next time you buy meal for less than what you can cook it for yourself, think about what you are putting into your body from that ""dollar menu"". The bottom line is that you cannot compare Crown Burgers to anyone else. Pros: Plenty of parking, well trained staff, and friendly! more

At its best this place is Average 5/28/2008

I wanted to try everything we didn't have in California so naturally this was the top rated burger joint so I decided to give it a try. Now there really isn't anything wrong with the burger if it were say a dollar or two cheaper but for the price the flavor was just not there. No herbs, no spices, I was screaming for a little salt! I did have their pastrami burger which was pretty big, and for a cool 10 bucks..just go to carls jr. for a better deal. Oh and their ""fry sauce"" aka ""thousand Island"" was not that great. most burger joints have some variation of a ""fry sauce"", this was not a top 5. The Best burger you will find in Downtown SLC - the Jr Crownburger is EXCELLENT - I especially recommend the 200 S Location - While it is a little pricey, I have lived here 26 years and not found a grilled burger that compares! more

What a rip off 2/22/2007

I could have bought all of the fixings myself and made enough food for 5 people for the price of one combo. The hamberger pattys looked and tasted like they were bought from walmart. The lettuce was brown. The tomatoes were old. The whole sandwich was so dry I had to put the fry sauce on it to choke down what little of it I consumed. I threw away more than I ate because it was so bad. It definatley wasn't worth $9.00. The person that waited on me couldn't understand english let alone speak it clearly. Been there, done that, won't do it again. Cons: Too much money for a bad meal more

Pastrami Burger, is there anything they can't do? 12/20/2006

Oh man, the Crown Burger is the granddaddy of all burgers! The fries are the best in the city. The fry sauce is simply the end all to fry sauces. If you can't handle the Crown Burger, the Jr. is almost the same size and does just as much justice. Trust me you will leave full and smiling. Pros: Diverse menu, Great Burgers more

This joint is the best place for good burgers, great french fries and lots of both!! It is fast for lunch and great for an inexpensive quick dinner! I can't stand pastrami - so fogive me for not mentioning thier famous burger - but everything else is just as fabulous! more

Crown Burgers, YUM! 10/2/2006

I am a retired police officer. The police station was right next door to Crown Burgers. I now live in California. The thing I miss most in SLC, besides my kids is the Crown Burger. Every time I visit Salt Lake I go directly from the airport to Crown Burger. I dream about their all meat chili, steak sandwiches and strawberry shakes. In my 22 years as a full time police officer I visited a lot of restaurants. (and no I don't like doughnuts) The Crown Burger is the best! Pros: Excellent fast service more

A Salt Lake City Landmark!!! 5/18/2005

I used to travel to Salt Lake City once a month on business and I ate at Crown Burger just about every time, with my buddies from SLC, Doug and Gary. The lines were quick. The food was yummy. Love that fry sauce. I miss Crown Burger almost as much as I miss Doug and Gary. more

Ordinary burger chain 4/28/2005

If IN-AND-OUT Burgers, were located in Utah, this mediocre chain would be out of business. The burgers here could be used as frisbees. The chicken sandwich was WAY overdone and tasteless. The onion rings were just ordinary. And the shake was no more than some unidentified cold blob, with a straw stuck in it. If you want a real burger-fries-&-shake; go to Red robin. Generous portions 7/11/2004

This is a hot burger place - the lines are long, but move quickly - the food is fresh, plentiful and hot. Don't get big eyes and order fries and rings with your burger - you'll never finish it all. Their decor is relaxing, seating is generous. The dive-up window is one of the most efficient I've seen - you order at the window - drive around the back and they bring it out to your car through the back door. Come to Crown Burger if you expect the best burgers and fry sauce in the state. Crown Burger also has some of the best gyros, excellent fries and good salad. They have the best atmosphere of any burger joint I know. The service is typical of any fast food restraunt. However, if you prefer the thin hard fries at Mc Donald's and the okay burgers over paying an extra buck or two for something more than twice as good, go ahead!
