Make sure you have time to spare. Service is slow, food was tasteless more

LOVE it! Be sure to order the spuds (delicious!) 7/23/2011

There's a reason this place has been there for about 40 years... people love it & are loyal like us. We have been going there off and on since I was little in the 1970's (an after Hogle Zoo visit tradition). A couple reviews here have spoken of poor service. In all our years going there I don't recall ever experiencing what they did. I love to read the western/cowboy comics in the bathrooms, the food is pretty good over-all... but my favorite thing is their side dish of spuds (with cheese or without). I LOVE those spuds!! Be sure to order some while there. more

What service? 1/17/2004

I wish I'd read the other reviews before trying this restaurant, which my girlfriend said was good (the one time she went before). We were seated quickly...and that was it. We waited over 25 minutes, and had NO other contact with the staff. When we finally walked out, they looked at us and talked about us, but said nothing to us. This place is an embarrasment. Cons: Horrible service more

Worst dining experience ever!!! 6/19/2003

My wife and I had been wanting to try this place for sometime. When we arrived we were greeted by a host and seated promptly. We reviewed the menu and watched servers bringing other diners their food. 10 minutes passed no server. 20 minutes passed still no server. Server went to take order of 2 tables that had been seated after us. Another 5 minutes passed still no server. At this point I was finally fed up. My wife got up and headed for the door. I let the manager know what was happening and he offered to give us our meals for free. We declined and let him know that we would never return and make sure our friends and relatives didn't either. If you want to go to a place that has deplorable customer service this is the place for you! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Pros: Seated promptly Cons: Absolutely ignored!! more

Theme restaurant, so-so food 5/20/2002

This place has been around forever. The menu and restaurant is decorated with old-time cowboy cartoons. The food is not bad, if you stick with traditional fare like pot-pie and burgers. Steer clear of things like pasta, but the salad bar is not bad. It's a great atmosphere for large families with kids and it can get quite crowded on weekends. No alcohol is served here. Pros: Plenty of parking Cons: No alcohol more
