Community Systems

I don't understand all of the complaints. My wife and I have lived here for 6 years and have found the atmosphere and neighbors to be exceptionally pleasant and the management responsive to all of our needs and suggestions. Also, the maintenance personnel have proven to be exceptionally knowledgeable and do very good work. The only problem I have is the latest rent increase, which I believe was about $100.00 to high. more

Sold us an unlivable unit we had to move out of. (Unlivable by all of the standards outlined by the CHA) Had to sue to get our rent back. When we used they threatened to evict my inlaws. Had to go to court twice because their employees didn't bother to show up. Then they told me for two weeks that my judgment check would be ready by a certain time and both times it wasn't. HORRIBLE!!! more

Everyone's got their comments on point. Unfortuantly, I STILL live here :/ This place is so shitty. Not only do the units look like crap and close to breaking down. Maintence and the managers dont do ANYTHING about it. Kim is one of the managers and shes a complete pot head, and honestly, probably on some other drugs also because of how she acts/looks all the time. The rest of the managers just sit around all day and get paid. Supposibly, Theirs 24 hour maintence.. HAHAAHH BS. When ever you try to get maintence to come, they never ever do. You end up having to do it yourself, and pay over 2000 dollars for the unit. I would have never moved here if i knew it would be so terrible. For anyone reading this, and even considering it, DONT. They'res roaches here along with tons of disrespectful people who have no consideration over others. You'll hear screaming and yelling all night. Even from the managers house and her physco husband. more

Moving here was a huge Mistake! It was 3 months of misery. All the previous reviews are so true! \r \r The mobiles are really really old.... things constantly need fixing. My dishwasher and stove fan didn't work when I moved in. Took weeks to get fixed with multiple visits from maintenance not to mention I had to take time off work each time they came to ""fix"" it and nothing would be done. Took several calls and few days to get a garbage can. Bathroom faucet broke, power outlets blew (if they worked at all). The front porch was supposed to be re-carpeted (never happened!) I also heard that many of the units had roaches and ants. And if you complain about anything such as noise... nothing will be done. \r \r The neighbors are awful... dogs run free, children play in the street, people blast music in the mobiles and cars all the time, plus certain places look like dump; cans, bottles, garbage bags, broken furniture just sitting on the sides or the porches. \r \r They took $120 of deposit to clean carpets that were clean. I had to fight to get $200 back of my deposit for cleaning the mobile which in their words was extremely clean. \r \r And I agree get everything in writing! They ""lost"" my 30 day notice. They did end up finding it but gave me a huge scare. I would get someone to sign a copy of your 30 day notice and keep it for your records. And it when you move make sure to get anything in writing they tell you at your move out. Because it will all change after you leave. Save all receipts and paperwork from them you may need it later for proof. more

If your hard of hearing and lack of home training is like a family reunion then this is the perfect place for you! I've lived in a lot of places and this place is the worst I have ever lived in! For a ""community"" there is NO and I mean NO control. Neighbors do what they want and police themselves. Cops are called ALL THE TIME here. Maintenance sucks royally, places are extremely cheap put together, if you ask for to many things to be fixed or complain about noise or rude neighbors then it seems your rent goes up. I dont know... maybe to get you out to get low class people who just need a place in here who wont ask for anything. People park in your space or in places where you cannot back out of your spot, dogs are loose in the complex (some big) kids are running in the streets, hear small kids as young as 11:30pm playing loud outside the house (wheres the parents and home training?!?!), drug use, and LOUD rude neighbors. I swear I've lost hearing from two loud neighbors blasting music during day and night and its the mariachi music with horns, organs, and bass that drives you almost to the brink of insanity before God mercifully sends the sandman their way or I put on headphones. Can you imagine that... I have to put on headphones in my own spot and pay rent and be miserable!!!!!!! No complaints are ever resolved and no control at this place means only the low of the low keep moving in. Sad because this place COULD have been way better. more

Its a mess in this trailer park. 1.Kids run around EVERYWHERE, with No adult supervision. 2.Garbage is everywhere. 3.Maintenance Workers do so little.(they don't know anything) 4.Price here goes WAY up!! 5.Manager doesn't know how to be one. if your looking for a place to live please don't choose this place i hope you don't.. Having lived in this ""community"" for over 2 years, I can speak from experience. You freeze in the winter, you roast in the summer, ALL units are ""infested"" with ANTs everytime it rains, your place is filled with them. In the words of the maintainance chief, the units are ""held together with duct tape and glue. "" Another ""caveat"": You will NEVER get your deposit returned, they will charge you with enough infractions until your deposit is ""gone"", for example when I changed units, I received (11 cents) back (of $500) and when I left the community, I received ($15) out of $400. So whatever you deposited, kiss it goodby. Rent anywhere!!! But here!!! However, if you enjoy children running wild in the streets, noisy neighbors, police showing up at all hours of the day and night, and people parking in your ""PAID "" parking spaces, be my guest. Pros: Absolutely Nothing. Cons: Absolutely Everything! more

Basically, everyone else pinged the issue right on. Crappy trailers, sweltering in the summer, freezing in the winter, neighbors who don't follow the rules, frequent rent increases at ridiculous amounts, unresponsive management. Oh, but someone forgot - trash everywhere because there is no maintenance! Pros: It's nice to have a little yard where I can plant stuff Cons: It's not worth having had my rent raised $350 in seven months more

AKA Rent a Home I just moved in60 days ago and they picked the wrong person to scam. I was told that the rent would not change just to sign the lease. The raised it as total a 300 dollars. I am single parent of two. I also told the leasing agent this was a big step for me and would be tight but worth it. They rented to me knowing the pratice was to raise the rent and set me up for failure. I have since had to move since i cant afford it, and it was not pretty. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE... They even reused old moldy insulation when repairing a molded out wall, and we can still smell it in our things not matter what we do. Pros: rip off artists they are good at it Cons: you like the neighbors its hard to leave more

My rent also went us $250 - which it's not worth it living in this 1960's tin box! I agree it's super hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter because they did not use insulation back in those days when these old tin cans were built. They can't be trusted.!! I think the only reason I'm still\r living there is because it's close to work. This is not a place to raise your kids.....because it's not uncommon to smell stuff outside. When we moved in the add said Rent A Home, but when you get here these are really old mobile homes, \r we have lived in Community systems for about 4 yrs, before rent was affordable but now they increased our rent $600 in the past year, a lot of the houses are not rented because of the pricing, the other major problem I had is that they don't maintain the homes, you have to call for weeks to get issues resolved, the mobile homes being so old, lack proper insulation, houses are very, very cold on winter and also very hot in sumer because they are made of metal more

We just moved in last month and they gave us a great deal for a 2 bedroom space but it's a MONTH-TO-MONTH contract. We used to live here 2 years ago and we told them that we are returning customers or residents. So they promised us that they would repaint everythig before our move in date (and they did). The place looks great! The guy who checked us in and did the walk through of the place for the new movers did his thing. He started walking around the unit without speaking us like he was lost or looking for something. I asked him a couple of questions and he just started at me like he was in outerspace. When he left, I found a butt of blunt and ashes in the carpet in the master bedroom. That explain the blank and confuse look on his face. Then when my wife was arranging the restroom, she started throwing up when she found a bloody tampond in one of the drawers. It's useless complaining if you get the answering machine all the time and no one calls you back. A lot of power failures and ants.\r \r Did I mention they raised our rent $250 more after they billed us with our first month rent. $250! common! more
