Best

This was a place that was recommended by our hotel staff. My husband is a beer drinker, me not so much, but I really enjoyed having lunch here. Being from another state, we had ...

Worst

I am not a complainer...and don't like to write a bad review like this, but this was the worst! Ten of us headed into Hartford on Saturday evening to see the Cirque du Soleil show...

Comedy can't be beat 9/3/2005

The comdey show at the City Steam is fantastic. I have attended several shows and always walk away with abs that hurt for three days from the laughter. You can reserve the show for parties as well, a great place to take friends to celebrate any occassion. The food is good, the service great and the beer the best. more

Irish music nights@ city steam 9/2/2005

Every Wednesday night @ City Steam in Hartford PV O'Donnell (an internationally known irish filddler) and friends get together and play Irish music. There is no cover, the appetizers are fantastic (try the home made potato chips) and they brew their own beer. The musicians are simply people who live the music, so get together and play - very casual, very fun. This is the kind of thing people go to Dublin to find, but instead end up in a tourist trap. more

City Steam Brewery Cafe 8/21/2005

The City Steam Brewery Cafe is where the party is always at! They have live comedy, Live Bands, Upscale Casual Dining, depending on certain nights. They have affordable Private Banquest rooms for up to 300, They also have the best hand crafted beer in New England. They hold banquet evens and have an upscale pool and a kids menu. I would recommend this Cafe, it great. more

A Yummy Restaurant Option 8/18/2005

City Steam is coveniently located in downtown Hartford and is accessible via an enclosed bridge from the parking garage. The menu is ecclectic with everything from burgers to homemade potato chips to salads to desserts. The selection is quite good. They also have a large beer selection. There are happy hour specials on appetizers during the week. The three levels are comfortable, if a little loud. There is also the option to sit outside on a patio during good weather. The patio tables can be a bit wobbly, but it is a good location for eating. The staff is always friendly and timely. more
