management is rude and cold--staff is not freindly--crowded 2/23/2012

I reduced going here and started going to screens at the continent as the managers have been rude at cinemark on several occasions, and other then one person the staff is unfriendly Management and staff used to be a lot friendlier and accommodating than the last few years.. Some of them were very nice and helpful but not now. I was going here very frequently with others and we have all decided to give most of our business to the only other dollar theater which is family run and struggling so we are not left with only one here in Columbus. I feel the other place needs and appreciates our business more. Who likes to be taken for granted? Both places have some problems but I do appreciate having As many cheap theaters in town as possible and urge others to spend their spending dollars among them..currently we just have two. I like that the screens has much roomier seating and far less people so I can also sit where I want and get in all the movies unlike at cinemark at times. At screens, I am treated like they appreciate my business unlike at carriage place where they could care less about their long term customers. also parking is far less of a problem and screens has dollar popcorn on Wednesdays. I do however like the remodeling and do go there still sometimes as I see little point in spending more than I have to for movies and this allows us the chance to see more movies than the full price. more

Movies for 50 cents to a $1.75 4/3/2006

Cinemark Carriage Place on Bethel Road is a great place to see a cheap movie. Tuesdays can be especially busy because all movies all day are only 50 cents. Matinees are $1, Friday and Saturday evenings $1.75 and all other evenings are $1.50. If you can wait a few weeks, depending on how well a movie does at the theaters, you can save a bundle over first-run theaters. You can bring your family to a movie and still have enough money for some popcorn and even a few quarters for the kids to play in the arcade. Sure, a lot of the seats have lost their spring but what do you want for a dollar? more

Perfect for the price! 11/8/2005

Wow! Where else can you see a movie for a dollar, like at the Cinemark on Bethel?! What a deal. I love to go to movies alone, and this makes for a great deal, for someone that likes to see a great percentage of what comes out. The facility is not exceptionally clean and the staff is a bit odd at times, but otherwise it's great! more

great deal 9/14/2005

This is a great place to go for an affordable night out. Rather than paying $20 for 2 people to see a movie you can do it for $3! Movies are gone from the other theaters so quickly that you don't have to wait that long before they are here, and you'll know which ones are worth going to. Beware, it is sort of a hangout for kids and there is an arcade room at the front, but you'll definitely save some money! more

Dollar Movies at their best! 6/24/2005

Cheap cheap and did I mention cheap? Expect to see the movies you missed when they first came out, re-run for an exceptional price. The concessions are even a little less expensive. Movies cost 1.50 and are even cheaper for matinee. Expect to wait in the lobby until the picture of your movie lights up, which means that they are seating your flick. It is rather "herd of cattle" but would you expect any less for your money? more
