A Great Children's Museum for little ones 4/14/2006

I was extremely excited for this museum to open and am impressed with what is there. There is a Shrimp Boat where children can practice being shrimpers which is really cool as shrimping is a big tradition in this area. There are always arts and crafts to do and the baby area is to die for. It's hard to find play areas for babies, but the one here is perfect. My children enjoy the block building area, but I wish there was more for kids above the age of 6. I would reccomend the museum to kids ages 6 months thru 6 years. more

Fun outing for little kids, not much for older kids 8/18/2005

The Children's Museum of the Low County is GREAT for toddlers and younger kids (early primary grades). There is a pretend shrimp boat they can cast a net off, play in water & learn about evaporation or play in a huge room made into a castle. They can dress up and play in the castle for hours. There is an art room and they can go in and out and draw, etc. It's only about 5 or six rooms and you can easily see the entire museum in 1 hour or less. It's fun for the really little ones but once they get out of the age of imaginative play, they are too old for it. Would recommend only for those with really small children. more
