Just tried this place for the first time the other day...got a coupon on my door. let me start out by saying the black pepper combination is fantastic. It has chicken, shrimp, and beef, and a delicious spicy/tangy sauce. I also paired it up with some chicken fried rice, chicken wings, and hot and sour soup. For my wife and I, it was a perfect amount for 1 meal and leftovers. I'm definitely returning and would recommend this little gem of a take out to anyone else. more

Got their coupon online and decided to try these guys out. They're pretty hidden it's no wonder i didn't know about them before. I got takeout the first time and it was great. I ordered the Sweet and sour chicken, and an eggroll. Lame I know but it was delicious. I actually ordered delivery the second time. There's a $15 minimum for delivery. I was just ordering for myself and so I didn't like that I had to order 15 bucks worth of food. The coupon helped so it was ok. Told me it was going to be 45 minutes for delivery and they actually delivered it in about 40. For the delivery I actually got sesame chicken with an order of house fried rice. That rice was heavenly! And the chicken, that sauce was just… man it was good. I’m definitely going to order the sesame from now on as opposed to sweet and sour. Best Chinese takeout in Charlotte. Highly recommend this place. more

This place is amazing! A friend of mine lives near the area and we stopped to eat there. The food was amazing! I had the peppered beef and the sauce they used was the best tasting sauce I have tried. The egg rolls were delicious. They were presented an award by MARTIN YAN for being a top 100 Chinese restaurant. It is very well deserved! I used to watch ""Yan Can Cook"" all the time in the 90s and that man knows his food. I'm not sure why people could possibly rate this place a ""1 star"". They must be those people you can never please that are part of a ""certain"" community. They must be used to eating a different kind of ""egg roll"" because they were very delicious at Cherry Blossom. more

My husband and I are new to Charlotte and we ordered from Cherry Blossom Chinese Restaurant and had it delivered: Egg Rolls, Shrimp Fried Rice, Shrimp Egg Foo Young. The egg roll was horrible and cold, the shrimp fried rice was over cooked and leftover from lunch perhaps...it WAS NOT FRESH and the shrimp egg foo young was only egg foo young. Take a look at the picture. I specifically asked them if the shrimp egg foo young had plenty of shrimp. They said sure. They lied. What do I want? I want my $22 dollars back! Do not eat here, do not even go in. more

Good food. This was my first time ordering from Cherry Blossom. I ordered take out, the food was ready when I got there and there was no wait. I got the chicken & shrimp combination meal and my fiance got general tso's chicken. We were both very pleased. The egg drop soup was the best I've had since living in Florida (where Chinese is NY style). We will definitely be ordering from here again. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes. more

Cherry blossom is great, I typically eat here once every two weeks or so. I generally like to cook at home, but Chinese is a bit more difficult to make due to the sauces, so I go to 'the blossom'. And actually, Jenny, the owner's wife, was cool enough to give me recipes to authentic Chinese dishes that are off the menu, like certain noodle soup dishes, and I'm a noodle nut, so I appreciate that a lot. As for the food at the restaurant, it is very delicious. Like I said I frequent the restaurant and it's great. Generally like to start out with some Chinese Doughnuts and chicken wings. My boyfriend loves the wings. They marinate the chicken very well, and it's always perfectly done, not overfried or underdone. I'm a creature of habit so i always get the Mongolian Beef. It's spicy and flavorful, lots of onions and carrots, mix that with some rice and hmmm, delicious. My boyfriend gets the sesame chicken or orange chicken. It's a lot of food, we can never finish it in one sitting. Delivery takes anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour when their busy. Tip: call during the weeknights for delivery, it's much faster. Most reviewers give this place high marks. I don't get it. I've tried it twice and will not return. Perhaps they are good for delivery, but eat in is less than mediocre. The egg rolls have a strange flavor and are filled with indescribable materials. I have no idea what that stuff is. \r \r Eat in the restaurant provides envelopes of fake soy sauce: it is salt water with caramel coloring. The duck sauce is similarly inauthentic. It might make sense to deliver that junk, but why not offer the real thing in the restaurant?\r \r Most recent trip I had Hunan chicken. It might have contained 2 oz. of chicken but had lots of canned water chestnuts and overwhelming quantities of baby corn. The fried rice was bland; even the packaged salt water helped only a little.\r \r Hard up? Try this place. Otherwise, go about five doors down to a pretty good Chinese restaurant that actually gives you real Chinese food. Just moved into town and found this little gem of a Chinese restaurant. It’s just a tiny little takeout but looks can be deceiving. They’ve got very delicious food. Friendly people. I’d call this place fast food because my orders were literally done in 5 minutes. The other sit-down Chinese restaurants don’t compare in food quality. I highly recommend it. This place is the best Chinese I have ever tasted. And I have tried my fair share of Chinese restaurants in Charlotte, Columbia, Raleigh, Boston, and New York. I don't know how, since it's such a small place. But it is located right in the arboretum, kind of far from where I live, but I go out of my way for their food. The owners are very nice, and I guess they've owned the place for so long they just know how to make those sauces they make and know how to cook their food. Very unique taste, worth the drive and DEFINITELY worth trying them out if you haven't already. I love this place! The food is great and they give you lots of it. They even deliver! I had the sa cha shrimp and absolutely loved it. I don't think other places even have this dish. Writing about this place makes me hungry. I think I'll stop by and get some take out for dinner. I highly recommend thsi place! Pros: Everything! Cons: Take out joint so not much seating. more

I recently just moved here from New York, and NY food is pretty good. This restaurant is up there with it. The Lo Mein is great, and so's the sesame chicken. They deliver too so that's a plus when I'm feeling lazy. It's just a nice small restaurant, you'd never expect the taste to be so good from a little take out restaurant. Mu fiancee and I would dine in occasionally. They've got a few tables, the store is small, but the atmosphere is nice. The owners are nice folks too. There are a couple of other Chinese restaurants in the area, but their food just isn't as good as Cherry Blossom. I'd highly recommend it. The food is very good. I've been going to this restaurant for the past 6 years. Same owners, good people. I always get the sesame chicken. I often have to drive past a few chinese restaurants to get to cherry blossom, but it's definitely worth the trouble.
