Charleston Downtown Limo/Tropical Taxi

Our company was having an event in Charleston over a week's time for up to 200 employees and guests. Laurie Ann took care of the transportation for everyone to and from the hotel, airport and other locations. She even met us at the hotel at 5 AM on the day many of us were going home! She went above and beyond and our customers were very happy. One of them told me it was the best ride from the airport he'd ever had! So thank you, thank you, thank you! If we come back to Charleston, we will definitely use Charleston Downtown Limo again. more

Our military veterans group used this service to transport 29 members to our annual reunion dinner. The service showed up on time and the drivers were extremely courteous. We had several older members and the drivers pitched right in and helped them board the buses. When the dinner was over, the drivers were waiting. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend the service. more

AMAZING. This is by far the best experience I have ahad with ANY car service. The rave reviews about Ray are on point: if we wanted to jam to a song, he cranked the music. If someone was cold even though it was 75 out, he blasted the heat. When we wanted to stop off temporarily for some dancing, he waited for us and then took us too our next stop (even though he was only booked for a pick up and return trip). When one of our crew had to head home, he made a special stop out of our way. And, when we were all danced out some time before our scheduled pick up, he came to get us right away. All the while, he was smiling, professional, and not only dealt with our shenanigans, but regularly chuckled with us. We had a FANTASTIC time, and EXCELLENT transportation service, at a pretty unbeatable price. With prices this great and personnel this wonderful, we'll definitely be booking with them for our future events! more

I can't say enough about Ray who was very calm, cool and collected when I had a wardrobe malfunction on my way to a wedding. ABSOLUTE BEST LIMO SERVICE EVER!!! Ray was exceptional. Being from out of town and with a group of girls you never know who you can trust and Ray made us feel very safe. Not only did he take care of us on our big night out, he accommodated transportation for 2 girls in our party to be taken to the airport and train station on 2 different nights. Loved this Limo Service! We had a group of nine ladies in town for a bachelorette party. The driver, Ray, was recommended to us from a local couple living in the house just behind our rental. I went down to Charleston with a group of gals for a Bachelorette Weekend and the first taxi service we used we had to get two taxis and ended up at two different rooftop bars... fail. Then a friend recommended Ray and Charleston Downtown Limo... He was punctual and so very friendly (Super Cool Dude). After our first experience with Ray we continued to use CDL each time we wanted to go out and about ALL IN THE SAME VEHICLE! We also had Eddie take us to Taco Boy Downtown and when I got there I realized I forgot my wallet at home, he had no problem turning around and driving my forgetful butt back to our rental and then back to Taco Boy to meet back with the gals. The rates were extremely reasonable and well worth not having to walk around Downtown Charleston in heels!!! This is my go to Limo/Taxi service in Charleston!! I was a devout customer with the Black Cab's here in Charleston, but Ray's friendliness, professionalism, and promptness definitely swayed me away from them,,,,Always on time, and a pleasant company to work with, very fair on the prices as well. I recently had my destination wedding in charleston and used Charleston Downtown Limo for transportation. First, they were awaiting my arrival at the airport in a Lincoln Navigator and drove me to my hotel downtown. Ray recommended a great Mediterranean restaurant on the water called Tabbuli while we waited for the rest of the wedding party to be picked up from the airport too. Ray drove my husband and I to Magnolia Plantation in the stretch limo on our wedding day and had larger vehicles to accommodate the rest of the wedding party. All of our pick ups were prompt and the vehicles were clean. Ray was very professional and made our big day very special. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for transportation in the Charleston area. I will definitely use Charleston Downtown Limo when I return. more

This was the worst limo service I have ever used. The driver Tyrone, who said he was the owner, tried to double charge us. He had already been paid for the service, then charged us again 30 mins after we were dropped off. Also called the police on us. I told him I wanted my $100 tip back and he told me no chance. He is a terrible businessman if he really is the owner. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY\r They ruined my bachelor party weekend... and will definitely NOT be using them for my wedding more
