Another restaurant that is rated very high in this site's local polls........but has been closed for quite some time now. Frustrating to those restaurants that are open, but are ranked lower on this site to the closed ones! Also frustrating to potential Milwaukee-area diners looking for an option. Cons: It's Closed more

Atmosphere and More 12/21/2008

We have been going to Blu, at the top of the Pfister, for 8 years or more. They provide consistently good service, drinks, good and service. One of the nicest views of Milwaukee. Bar validates parking at the Pfister garage and there are several good restaurants in the Pfister as well as within walking distance. Staff at Blu is helpful in pointing you to local activities. Whenever we bring someone new up to Blu they are impressed by the drink selections and the cashews - step up from typically bar fare - even martini bars. Check out the lobby of the Pfister while you are there. It is a beautiful place with a nice collection of paintings and wonderful decor at the holidays. The lobby bar also offers a nice selection of food and drinks and a wonderful full English tea service. Check it out! Pros: View, Atmosphere Cons: Pricey but WORTH IT more

Martini's in Milwaukee 11/7/2005

Awesome. Not only is the view of the city breahtaking at night, but the luxurious lounge type atmosphere and dedicated service tops all I have been to in Milwaukee. more

Kobe beef? You must be joking 10/24/2005

The server told is that they had authentic kobe beef from Japan that night. An overdone piece of shoe leather showed up at my table. After sending this steak back, the second one came out slightly less overdone. However, this was NOT kobe beef! The meat was tough and flavorless. Very disappointing. more

Top Notch Service 5/22/2003

I attended Celia's for a business dinner, and we were catered to by two waiters for our the duration of our visit. The food portions are similar to that in a typical French bistro, but the flavors are dazzling. The depth of their wine list is also quite impressive. In addition, the restaurant is located in the basement of the famous Milwaukee Pfister. This truly lives up to its reputation. Pros: Quality of Food, Service, Wine List Cons: Portion Size more
