I moved to Vancouver recently from Portland, Oregon and was searching for a place to replace my shoe heels as well as place plastic shoe plates on my brand new shoes on the heels....

Seriously great place!!! I took my work heels to Cascade Shoe Repair hoping they could salvage my black heels of which the rubber on the bottom was so far gone, metal from the nail was showing. He said they will be ready next day. I came back next day and they were finished! The shoes looked better than I expected! They even cleaned up the actual heel part (stem) that gets scuffed where they almost looked brand new and for a cost around $12. For any future heels that require repair, I won't even hesitate to bring then back here! more

The most wonderful of all shoe repair establishments! The owner insists on fixing your shoes correctly, quickly, and for a great price! All he asks is that if you don't like something, you give him the chance to make it right. Aleksandr is very honest, reasonable, and efficient. I have been going to him for last 8 years. He has fixed everything that he could, and told me honestly about the ones he couldn't. Don't be passive aggressive. If you tell him what you want, he will make it so! BTW - He fixes purse strap lengths very nicely as well. Highly highly recommended! more

I had some damage to the heel of my 2/1/2012

I had some damage to the heel of my BCBG shoes and they were able to fix it without any problem. These are my absolute favorite shoes and I am SO glad they were able to fix them. And also I brought my favorite jacket there and when they handed it back to me, it looked brand new! I will definitely go back. Thanks!!! more

Alex is fantastic: He must have a magic wand or a Genie/Jin in residence. Alex has done amazing work on everything I have taken to him. He is honest, straight forward, friendly and personable. He does shoe wizardry like the good ole days. I'll never go to any other shoe repair person as long as I live in Vancouver. I am accustomed to great customer service and fanastic work (Los Angeles)...Alex gives you all of it and he has a terrific sense of humor as well. Pros: Professional and friendly Cons: haven't found any. more

Cascade Shoe Repair is Master repair person 7/17/2009

My puppy chewed up my eel skin red purse which I thought was un fixable but I took it to Cascade Shoe Repair and he was able to fix it almost perfectly. I was very excited and happy when he showed it to me because he not only fixed it on the outside but also on the inside. This purse was my favorite purse and I thought it was gone for sure. I love my puppy but he is not getting close to this purse again. My purse looks like brand new again. Great Job Cascade Shoe Repair. Find Aleksandr at his new shop at 8200 E Mill Plain Vancouver WA 98664, just down the street from the old location. First thing you'll notice after the friendly smile is a neat and tidy shop. I have been patronizing Aleksandr's Cascade Shoe Repair for years, and I have always been completely satisfied. He is fast, affordable, gracious, and invariably does great work on everything from my designer shoes to my high-priced horse tack. I can't imagine that anyone who has actually tried out Aleksandr's work has been anything but delighted. I urge you to give Cascade Shoe Repair a try! more

Great placv for shoe repairs and other repairs. 5/12/2009

I have been going to Cascade Shoe Repair for a number of years, both at their previous location and the new location on Mill Plain Blvd. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this business. The owner operator, Aleksandr is very pleasant, always with a smile and knows his business. I have had purses fixed, new heels on shoes, dog leashes repaired, new soles and even taken shoes in to be polished. I highly recommend this shop. more

Very Poor Quality 9/9/2007

I moved to Vancouver recently from Portland, Oregon and was searching for a place to replace my shoe heels as well as place plastic shoe plates on my brand new shoes on the heels. One day after having shoe plates put on my shoes, the plates were already wearing out and I only wear them in doors! Talk about the cheapest quality shoe plates...Even the ones you purchase at the store last longer than the ones they carry here. I will NEVER return to this shoe repair. Poor quality and they charge the same as other shoe repairs! VERY DISAPPOINTING! more
