I strongly agree. The customer service is the worst. I received damaged furniture when arrived. scratched on every piece. One week later they switched the furniture with new piece...

They dont know what customer service is..\r \r We shopped at thier store in Braintree Mass.\r \r We purchased a new livingroom set on August 12th 2013. A sofa, Love Seat and STORAGE Ottoman.\r \r It was a custom order, so we were told it would not be delivered for 6-8 weeks. But usually it doesn't take that long. \r \r On September 23, (6 weeks after placing the order) we called for a status on the delivery. We were told its due to arrive the week of October 13, which would be 9 weeks from date of the order. Already a week past the maximum delivery time.\r \r On the 15th, we called to see if it was still scheduled to be delivered this particular week. We were told that it was not, and we would be getting a call as soon as it arrives to their warehouse. \r \r The following Monday, now at week 10, we called yet again, and were given an appology ,saying that it is en route to them. We were told someone would call us back and give us some sort of discount for the inconvenience. \r \r On Thursday the 24th, we went to the store to see what was going on with our furniture. We were told that the Sofa and Love Seat were in but not the storage ottoman. As soon as the ottoman would arrive, they would call and give a delivery date. We asked to have the available pieces delivered, but they said they couldn't deliver twice, but offered us free delivery for the inconvenience! Well, aren't they generous!\r \r We have been sitting on lawn furniture for 10 weeks. After calling yet again, they agreed to deliver the following week. The sofa and love seat arrive, but not the ottoman. \r \r On November 20 we are told the storage ottoman will be delivered on the 22nd. This makes it a total of 14 and 1/2 weeks from the date of the order. But it doesnt end here. When the ottoman arrived, we see that the ottoman is not a storage, as ordered, but only a regular ottoman. \r \r We refused the delivery and we were told some one from customer service will be contacting us. We did not recieve a call that Friday, or Saturday. Or Sunday! At 5 pm WE called them, yet again. After speaking with the rep, we were told that someone will call us the next day, Monday November 25.\r \r Today, Monday, November 25, a whole 15 weeks from date of order, we are told that the storage ottoman is no longer being made for our set. Unbelievable!!!! We were offered the basic ottoman, and they would knock off some money from our purchase. \r \r It is scheduled to arrive this week. But I wont hold my breath!!!\r \r This is POOR POOR POOR customer treatment. After waiting 15 weeks, we still dont have what we originally oredered. WE were the ones constantly calling them. \r \r We are in the market for more furniture, but are going to Jordan's Furniture were we purchased a kitchen set and had it delivered within days. That's where we should have gone in the first place. \r \r This is the place to go if you dont mind getting the run around, or if you dont mind having to constantly call them, even tho you are told someone would you...or if you dont mind waiting double the time promised for your furniture.\r more

I will not be going back to Cardi's! I've purchased two living room sets off them and the last one (micro suede sectional) was nothing but, issues. When I called customer service to have a repair man come out to take a look, she was nothing but arrogant and spoke to me like I had no intelligence. The sofa was barely sat on, never allowed any drinking or eating in the living area but, some how this set was just plain junk and fell apart with a slight touch. Let's just say after that one call I never called to complain again even though I paid the extra fee in case something went wrong and then stupid me went to look at other sets a week ago, when I told the man who tried selling me the moon what had happen to my last set, i was ignored completely. This is another Bob's store just under Cardi's name with the same 30 day looks great and don't call cuz customer service will bite your head off. Too bad because I was a loyal customer, now Raymour and Flanigan is my best friend more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEOPLE 12/25/2011

We purchase a dinning room set with the Extended Warranty...so when I call for service they treaded us like TRASH the manager was rude they insulted my family my house I will never ever step in that store again all they did was still our money thieves if you APPECIATE you hard working money stay away from this people I gave them one star but really is zero STAY AWAY more

I was very impressed with how they handled my purchase. The drivers were professional, polite and fast and overall wonderful. The store is beautiful and laid out in a way that made my shopping pleasant. I dont usually post reviews - but felt had to this time I recommend Cardi's to all of my family and friends more

HORRIBLE 10/6/2011

Literally the WORST MANAGEMENT team I have come across and I work in an industry where we deal with management daily. From the General Manager Al, in Braintree, to the customer service manager Alison from their HQ, this place is horrific. They sold me furniture that fell apart, they had their technicians come twice to try to fix it and each time the ""fix"" lasted for about a week. Of course I needed to leave work, in town twice to be there for them to try to fix the problem. Then they sent me to the insurance company as they were now outside there warranty period which was a year. Granted these issues began within the first year and were never corrected. IF YOU ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO SHOP HERE BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, THANK GOD I DID BUT HONESTLY DO NOT SHOP HERE. After fighting with the insurance company they gave me a credit, of course now when I go to use the credit the furniture I have, which is a leather three piece set, cannot be found for less than $1,000 more than the credit I have. NOBODY all the way up to the owners Nick, Ron, Pete were willing to help, even after three trips in the store to llok for comparable items. All I wanted was a replacement set equal to what I had but they would not budge. Honestly, I am a young professional and will NEVER EVER go back. AL is the worst there is he even tried to charge me for delivery of the new set! The worst part was CARDI'S was not out of pocket a cent as they had the insurance company cover it, but yet still would not help me find a set comparable to what I had for no additional cost to me. They made money off of this as they made a sale on the replacement set and did not have to pay for it. They left that up to the insurance company. They are A Complete Joke. The MVP's of the company are the sales associates they all are very nice. HEADED FOR CHAPTER 11. more

Delivery Men Stole From My Sister in Law 9/10/2011

My sister in law had a bed delivered from Cardi's today. When the delivery men were putting the bed together they helped themselves to all the cash in her wallet when she was not looking. When she reported the theft to Cardi's they refused to do anything. The bed is going back tomorrow. No one in our family will ever make another purchase from Cardi's again. I would give negative stars if I could. more

Poor customer service 8/2/2011

My elderly mother was looking to replace the mattress from an old sleeper sofa. I was visiting from Virginia and have an SUV that could transport it, so on my last day in Massachusetts, we decided to call Cardi's in Swansea, who we'd been told sold sleeper sofa mattresses. She spoke with a sales person, who told her they had several of them in stock, which was important because Swansea is an hour from my mother's house, and because she would have to pay for delivery if we didn't get it that day. She repeated that we'd be coming from an hour away, but he again confirmed that they had plenty of them in stock. We drove the hour down to Swansea and met the sales person, who took us to the mattresses. Mom decided on one and we followed him to the register, only to be told that they had no sleeper sofa mattresses in stock! He told us that he'd have to order one and it wouldn't arrive until the end of the week, days after I would be back in Virginia. We were not happy because not only had I wasted 2.5 hours (round-trip) on my last day in MA. because he either lied or was incompetent, but also because now my mother would have to pay for delivery. Seeing that we were not pleased, he suggested that he might be able to halve the delivery fee and offer us a 7% discount off the price of the mattress. However, later that night we saw a Cardi's commercial saying that they were having a sale of 7% (the amount of Rhode Island's sales tax) off everything! I was out almost three hours of my time that could have been better spent, I was out the gas money that it took to get to Swansea and back, and although my mother was somewhat appeased because she thought she was getting a deal for her inconvenience, she found that she'd been lied to twice and the ""deal"" she got was actually just part of a weekly sale. I worked in retail/customer service for over twenty years and I recognize the value of a person's time and the responsibility of being truthful with your customers, so I'm very annoyed and disgusted that this sales person had no regard for either. Our experience was not as bad as that of some of the other reviewers, but I don't appreciate someone giving me or my mother the runaround or, worse yet, being lied to. I was ready to walk out the door, but my mother thought Cardi's was her only option for this mattress and decided to purchase it then and have it delivered. In retrospect, I wish I had convinced her to leave and taken her somewhere else. The mattress is supposed to be delivered at the end of this week. If it does not go as expected, anyone tries to pull anything or lie to my mother again, I'll post an update. I would not choose this company again. Again, this was not as bad as other experiences, but between this fiasco and the other reviews here, I would not feel confident making any large purchases from Cardi's. more

Cardi Extended Warrenty Rip Off 2/10/2011

I purchased a new living room set. Upon checkout I was asked if I wanted to buy the ""extened warrenty"" to cover any stains or rips. I explained to him that I have purchased that warrenty elsewhere and found it to be a rip off because in the end no one ever replaced my stained couchs. He assured me the Cardi;s stands by their warrenty, ect. Anyway, I purchased it. My daughter got lipgloss on the cushions and marker (she is 4) I called right away and the repair man came and cleaned the cushions but the stains never came out. I called Cardi;s, and to make a long story short - they did not replace my cushions. Lipgloss is not covered. Marker is not covered. What a rip off. Never Ever Again will I buy furniture there.....or atleast not buy an extended warenty that covers nothing again. more

What a great experience 2/23/2010

I just bought a new bed from Cardi's. Let me first say that I hate salespeople. They make me crazy. I feel like they are watching me like a hawk. The salesperson approached us after a few minutes just to let us know he was there to answer any questions. We tried out a lot of beds (and so did our two children). I never felt pressured or as if somone were watching me. When we had made our decision, the gentleman helped my husband with all the paper work while I took our children over to the kids department to browse and play in all the ""kid friendly displays"". The salesman had us in and out pretty quickly (which made me very happy). My kids were thrilled with the free cookie they were given on the way out! About an hour after we got home, the deliverymen were there with our new bed. Although it was cold and snowy out, they were very careful not to make a mess in the house. The bed was a tempurpedic and tough to fold up in the cold, but they managed to get it into the house and into our bedroom without any trouble. I have had many experiences where workmen and delivery people are rude and make a mess. Not so with these deliverymen, they were very polite and neat. A nice touch was a thank you note from the salesman which arrived a few days later. I know this experience will have me going back to Cardi's when my family room furniture wears out! DON'T SHOP AT CARDI'S!!! 2/13/2010

Let me start by saying the only reason I went through the following is because I had a gift certificate that Cardi's gave me when they screwed up another purchase I'd made three years ago, otherwise I wouldn't have gone there. We were told by a mattress sales associate that they price match 110%. They advertise that a mattress purchase of $500 or more will get you free delivery and removal of old bedding. Also, they will give you a bed frame. Well, I found the same mattress they were selling for $1000 was $100 less at Sleepys. So the salesman says right off the bat that Sleepys mattress is a lesser quality and different line. So I came back w/that I had done my homework and it was the exact same mattress. He says well I need written proof before I can price match. We go back the next day w/a printout from Sleepys and w/o even looking at it he now claims he went to a Sleepys store and found that their mattress is not in the store and is only a web purchase. He said he played stupid as he put it (I don't think he had to play when it comes to stupid) and asked the salesperson what the coil gauge was. He claimed it was 15 as opposed to 13.25 which is what Cardi's version has so its not the same and they won't price match. So basically go screw yourself. We walked away and went to sit on a sofa in the living room showroom to call a Sleepys store and their sales associate said it was the exact same size. Well you should have seen the salesman's face when we went back and confronted him in front of other people who were shopping. Now he claims he has to call the mattress buyer and get permission to price match, but first he asks if we need a bed frame because that will cost us. I said no and didn't bother to contradict him even though we had already been told it was free. Then he said it would cost $30 for removal of old bedding and I said Cardi's (and also Sleepy's) are advertising free removal so now you're contradicting your own ads. So he gets on the phone and comes back w/ok we'll match the price and won't charge for delivery/removal. I asked what happened to 110% and he said he couldn't do that because he had to match apples to apples. Then as we're walking to the cashier desk he says that he was told by the mattress buyer for Cardi's that Simmons told them personally that the coil gauge of Sleepys mattress was 15. Gee, why would Simmons tell Cardi's what Sleepys is doing/selling? So my husband said to him basically you just lied because I called Sleepys and they told me themselves that it was the same as yours. After the two men came and delivered the set (we tipped them well before they left) they basically bolted out the door. When my husband went to close the front door and turn off the outside light he called out I guess they weren't pleased w/their tip because they left all the plastic wrap from the mattress/boxspring on the front lawn. CARDI'S SUCKS AND YOU SHOULDN'T SHOP THERE!!!! Pros: There are better stores out there. Cons: Cardi's is still in business more

I purchased a living room set from them and had a issue with the couch cushions. Terrible customer service and extremely rude. 3K couch appearance terrible after 3 months and I live alone, not like a family of ten was using. Rude, rude, rude. Even though their commercials are idiotic and annoy the hell out of anyone I ask, we bought a camel colored leather couch and chair set there anyway three years ago. Real leather on top and front and pleather on side and back. The sales person told us this up front. No problem. Well within six months, the ""leather"" part started to turn a different color. Probably from the sun. A little disappointing but understandable. Well after three years those lightened spots turned a flourescent bright green, a color found in nature only at the bottom of a pond. And the rest that didn't turn green faded so much from the original color that it is probably 7-8 shades away. We did buy the extended warranty, but when Cardis came to look at it, we were basically told to go screw ourself. This is not covered. Can we do anything else for you? be careful what you sighn they make you think your getting a great deal but your not my bill was 2400 they wanted 398 a month for 24 months if you do the math it comes out to over 9000 dollars that is 7000 over what the furniture is worth be careful watch for this scam Pros: promise you the world and they cant deliver Cons: you go in and they hit you with a300% interest rate more
