Let Me Tell You........ 3/15/2011

If you want to be pampered - this is the place!! This is heaven for me...I had a Shiatsu massage and then a 18-karat (or something gold) facial. The massage (forgot his name) was relaxing, and my facial..oh, I felt like cleopatra after the gold treatment. The facial lady (sorry also forgot her name :( knew what she was doing, custom tailored a treatment for me and even gave me extra gold cream to use for my dinner later that night :) She recommended a french line called ""Vie"" - very pricey but I just love the texture and results of it. Its definitely worth the investment. \r Finally ... you cant leave without first spending a few minutes at the Salt Grotto room where you sit on these heated (slightly inclined) benches - room is dark and quite...all you hear is the bubbling fountain. Its a heated room...very relaxing. My favorite is the Wave Room - where there are totally tilt back leather lounge chairs and you look up to this domed shape ceiling display of breaking waves - it was sooooo amazing...it took me to a totally different place.. this room gets kind of chilly after awhile. \r All in all....BEST SPA yet! more

One of the best! 2/23/2009

This is by far one of the best spas I have been to. The facilities were clean and the service was excellent. It's a great way to relax in a city that's up 24/7. Definitely check it out when you go to visit Vegas! more

Just another mediocre spa experience 4/9/2008

My wife and I went to the Canyon ranch while staying a few days at the Venetian. Excellent Hotel and great pool area but we were less than impressed with the Canyon Ranch despite the anticipation and hype. We wer etold it was the best anywhere and so does citysearch but we found it avreage at best. We get massages fairly regularly and I have learned to be very specific about what massage I want and the points to focus on. the massage I received was about as focused as the free poolside massage I received in Cabo. The staff in the men's locker room acted as though I was interrupting their opportunity to do nothing when I asked questions or made requests. There were continuous noises outside the massage room, construction I guessed that made it difficult to relax during the treatment. Overall, I think for the price they could have done a lot better. I am looking forward to trying the Spa Mandalay next. Pros: Common areas Cons: staff more

Adequate but not Special Spa Experience 11/13/2007

A week into my almost 2 week business trip to Las Vegas, I was very much looking forward to my spa day. I had an aromatherapy massage and a facial. The facial was excellent and easily the best part of my experience at Canyon Ranch. The massage was okay- not bad but nothing to write home about either. \r The thing that I was most disappointed about was the public areas ,especially the pool area which was very small and had no lounge chairs. Relaxing by the pool after my treatments, alternately reading and napping, is usually my favorite part of the spa experience. \r I guess that I expected more from the Canyon Ranch name. Next year I will go back to Mandalay Bay, which I very much preferred. Pros: The facial was the best I've ever had. Cons: Parking!! The Venetian is the worst casino on the Strip when it comes to parking. Always too crowded anytime of day or night. more

I Got Lucky at Canyon Ranch Vegas 6/20/2006

I've been to Canyon a couple times now. I've enjoyed their great fitness classes, outstanding spa, and signature ""hot rock"" massage therapy. However, the last time I visited the spa, the front desk staff lost my appointments. They actually scheduled my services for the wrong day, so my sister and I were forced to take appointments at different times. I was also told that only a male therapist was available even though I requested a female. My therapist, Noa, actually ended up being a woman, not to mention the best massuese I have ever had. So, I guess I'll thank the front desk for their numerous mistakes, which resulted in the best massage I've ever had. Pros: Massages, Fitness Classes Cons: Incompetent Front Desk more

treated like a king 4/22/2006

Me and my wife have lived in vegas for a while. so we decided to try canyon ranch out after hearing so many good things. I will agree with some of the other reviews the loung is not very relaxing. and the locker room seem to small for such a large place. Now i must say i love the services. I had my first reflexology by a guy named Glen. I can tell you i'm addicted now, my feet have never felt so good. He also did my wife's massage when we did the couples massage. She loved it. and my therapist Dawn was awsome. If you can get past the locker rooms you will love the services. Pros: Glen, Dawn, reflexology Cons: price, small loung more

Doesn't live up to its reputation. 2/28/2006

I figured Canyon Ranch in Vegas would be phenomenal considering the reputation of its main resort (in Arizona????), but I was sorely disappointed when I arrived. I think calling this place a spa is completely misleading. I think ""gym with spa services"" might be more accurate. The dressing area is a gym locker room - loud with flourescent lighting and not soothing at all. Same goes for the sauna/hot pool area - very small/cramped with bad, bright lighting. The waiting area for spa appointments resembled a doctor's office waiting area. I was not relaxed before my treatments like I would typically expect at a spa. more

BEST SPA EVER!!! 1/4/2006

I was in town for a conference in October and I had a day off and decided to spend it at the spa in the Venetian. I had 2 treatments and I felt so relaxed when it was over. The facility was beautiful and the girls in the locker room were very attentive and constantly asking if I needed anything. The services are a bit on the high side, but worth every penny. I would recommend this spa to absolutely everyone!!! more

Great time 9/27/2005

I stayed at the Venetian to attend work meetings and decided to check out the spa and get a massage. It was the best massage I have ever had. I know that sounds crazy but it really was. After my massage I went back to my room and fell sound asleep. I worked out the other days I was there and got to use the jacuzzi and steam room. I would definately recommend this spa to anyone going to Las Vegas and especially if you are staying at the hotel. more

Awesome!!!! 9/20/2005

I went to the Canyon Ranch for my five year anniversary and had the couples package. It was wonderful. The Rasul service was amazing and the massages were great too. My wife and I got to workout and have a meal in the cafe. The portions were small, but the food is excellent. My wife and I will definately be back. Pros: Rasul, Cafe, Fitness Cons: Price more

do not go here 9/5/2005

my husband and i stayed at the venetian 9/2004 and decided to get the couples treatment. the waiting room was average looking but was very large. i was very disapponted with the wet room (sauna/steam/pool). it was gross. worst quality than the gym i go to. and tiney! i hope they decide to expand and renovate. i was scared to take my slippers off! and there was a lady standing there watching the place while i was trying to relax. it ruined my mood. well, the massage was nice. but i do not reccommend going here until the wet room/sitting area is renovated. more

The Best 3/14/2005

As one of the older spas on the strip this one is the best! It is exciting to know that they are planning an expansion and a total rennovation. Love the service and the selection of services available is the largest I know of. Pros: services, great cafe Cons: parking more

Top notch facility 3/10/2005

The best spa in Vegas. Canyon Ranch definitely exceeded my expectations. more

Disappointing 12/23/2003

I have been to 5 spas on the strip and have been most disappointed with the Canyon Ranch. The 1st time I used their spa, the wait area was was standing room only. Then the showers were being used and there was a wait for that too. And one shower was clogged w/ hair. Where are the attendants? The wet area was the dinkiest and ugliest among all the spas i've been to. I can't believe CR was built after the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay spas as they should have copied them. I love the Mandalay spa so much that I always go there no matter where I stay in Vegas. However, when I stayed at the Venetian after the expansion of the canyon ranch, I gave CR another try but was still disappointed. Bottom line, go to the spas at the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. You'll always be happy. Pros: in the Venetian, That's it! Cons: small & ugly wet area, extra $$ for gym use, not enough showers more

Doesn't quiet live up to the hype... 10/30/2003

I'm a consummate spa goer and couldn't wait for my pick-2 package at the spaclub. It included a choice of two services (i picked a massage and thermal therapy), lunch, and full use of the facilities and classes. I spent the whole day there and initially, i was surprised by the lack of ambience. It just looked like a huge gym. The locker room was cramped with a top/bottom locker type of design and the whirlpools, sauna, and steamroom was small. The massage was excellent, but the thermal therapy was disappointing. I also took a pilates class, which was great. I used the Mandalay Bay's spa too and it beats Canyon Ranch hands down. Pros: Massage was great, no tipping, pilates class Cons: ambience, facilities more

Couples Spa Heaven! 11/8/2002

Stayed at the Venetian 5 days and wow! wow! wow! The Couples Spa package was a romantic, private steam room where we slathered exotic muds on each other in a special room. Rain poured from the ceiling in this ""Rasoul"" treatment. It was $550, but well worth it! We were escorted to our side-by-side massages, then to our lunch at their spa restaurant. My 6'6, 300 lb. hubby thought this might be too ""frilly"" for a ""real"" guy, but after 30 min in the steam chamber and then the massage, he was a convert. He didn't like the ""atmosphere"" in the men's locker. I agree with other reviewers that this isn't ""quiet"" or ""soothing"" since there are TVs in the lounge and the amenties left on the counter aren't ""top"" of the line cosmetics, but they do give you everything you need to dress, except your clothes. Pros: Couples massage, Rasoul treatment, Cleanliness Cons: Not dim lighting, Staff is a bit snobby, No soothing music more
