It's a beautiful beach 11/21/2006

Cannon Beach is an excellent stop if you ever go to Oregon. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the water is cold...so most ppl dont go swimming. There's not a lot of things to do there..but it's still worth the trip..because the beach is so pretty. Pros: Beautiful beach Cons: can be very crowded during peak times more

Oregon Coast at its best! 8/1/2002

If you're looking for entertainment and energy, go to Seaside. However, if you want a relaxing place to go with great food, beautiful beach, and less teenagers swarming around, Cannon Beach will not disappoint you! more

Quaint and beautiful 7/24/2002

It gets crowded and touristy in the summer, but Cannon Beach is always fun and relaxing. It's such a beautiful place, and the town is so cute and fun to explore. Gotta have saltwater taffy, Haystack bread and a slice of pizza while you're there. Oh, and clam chowder, of course. Pros: scenery, shopping, close to Portland Cons: parking, summer crowds more

Love it 7/12/2002

By far the best place along the coast. Most the other towns are small and don't have much to offer. Cannon Beach has arts/crafts and many more places to eat. It has become a favorite place for my fiancee & I to end up on the weekends. Great chocolates, can't remember the place we stop for lunch but it has a woman's name and the staff is always great. The beach is great too- can loose yourself just relaxing there. Highly recommend it for day trips. Start at Seaside, play in Cannon Beach, traipse to TIllimook and back. Home by 5- perfect! Pros: great town, always room to relax, never crowded Cons: cold, traffic to there more

""My Rock"" 6/3/2002

In 1991, when I first went to Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach and looked out at the Pacific and that magnificent view, I fell in love with the place. I left part of my soul there and have been back every year but one since then to reconnect with it. Haystack Rock has become ""my rock"" -- something with which I most ""commune"" on a regular basis. A delightful town, but best to visit away from peak tourism times. Pros: No fast food chains, High quality shops, Tidal Pools Cons: Crowded at peak times more
