Great views of Haystack Rock from the rooms. The way the rooms are situated, the beds are facing the sliding glass door to the balcony. You can lay propped up in bed and just stare at the ocean and Haystack Rock. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Pets are allowed and they have several little potty areas.

Schooners Cove is located with the ocean out your sliding glass door to one side and with the beautiful town of Cannon Beach out the door on the other side. So it is within strolling distance of most of the shops, art galleries, and restaurants in town, as well as beach walks. Downstairs rooms have a small patio, then there is a grassy strip with picnic tables, bbq equipment, and lounge chairs. Right below that is the beach. Rooms have a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean (however, there is no view of Haystack Rock because of the curve of the beach). Each room has a gas fireplace. The rooms are cozy, but have microwaves and small fridges. You can rent DVDs from the office, you can also book a half hour time in the hot tub upstairs. It is expensive to stay there, but I think it is worth it!

We had an amazing time at schooners cove!! We have stayed here twice this year and both times were fantastic experiences. Amazing location right on the beach, 1 block from town, big rooms, clean, great service, family friendly .... just an all around great place to stay!!

OK, so we haven't officially spent the night here yet, but the stars are out, the ocean breeze is calm and the fresh-baked cookies are a delight. Seriously, they stock fresh-baked cookies in the lobby all day long. Ocean Lodge is just a class establishment with a friendly staff and comfortable, well-apportioned rooms. Heck, the alarm clock even allows you to jack in your iPod and listen to your MP3's - how cool is that? We're staying on the third floor in room 314, which includes a jacuzzi tub and high-vaulted ceiling - I'll ask for it again as it's the corner room on the top floor. Breakfast is complimentary... maybe I should've waited til I ate tomorrow morning before I wrote this review, but I suspect it will be as good as the cookies.

These guys are great, they have many rentals to choose from in beautiful Cannon Beach. I have always found one for all the accommodations I need, for the number of people I need to house, or the budget I need to stay in. Great!!!

Just finished up a weekend here and we had a great time. Seems like they recently remodeled the unit we were in and they are adding additional units to the resort. If I had a tree that grew money, I'd stay here more often. But until then, I'm saving up my clams until the next visit. Staff works hard to make sure your stay is relaxing - very quick room service and housekeeping. They have cabana service on the beach and will setup umbrellas for shade and lounge chairs for you to relax on.
Pros: Pool, bathroom, flat screen tvs, room service, house keeping

We just got back from our second stay at the Waves Motel, specifically the La Colina building. I love this place, it's clean and they have everything you could ever ask for - Microwave, refrigerator, dishes, wine opener, DVD player, cd player, vcr. Plus, a deck with a phenomenal view. After much research, I really feel this is the best deal at Cannon Beach for beach front property, plus, it's right in town. Really, the best of all worlds. The staff is very friendly, too.

The Sea Sprite is a small hotel with the feel of a b & b. The first floor (really more like a daylight basement) has smaller rooms. You can get rooms for larger parties above and to the side. It is right off the beach, but if you are looking for something in downtown Cannon Beach, this is not it. It is south of Haystack Rock, which means it's quite a walk (or a short drive and then a search for parking) into town.

They have 4 different hotels we stayed at the McBee Cottages but also viewed a couple rooms at the Cannon Beach Hotel.
Our room at the McBee Cottages must have been just re-modeled or something because it was spotless and very tastefully done. The room had a gas fireplace and comfortable chairs as well as a queen bed. Our dogs loved it too as we were only a short block to the beach.
We also toured the Cannon Beach Hotel and were impressed. The room we looked at had a large claw foot soaking tub, gas fireplace, and a large seating area with soft chairs. The lobby of the hotel has a nice fireplace going and our dinner in the restaurant was great.
Even with the beautiful rooms I think the best part of it was the service. We asked where we could rent a DVD movie and the clerk gave us a pass for a free movie. He showed all the nice state parks to visit and was full of information about the area. It seemed like he really wanted us to enjoy ourselves and was not just some act.
We did not visit there other two properties but next time for a change we might stay at the Courtyard or Hearthstone.
All in all a great time was had and we will be back every chance we get.
