I have eaten at San Estevan three times and have made reservations there four times. My first experience there taught me that they have a wonderful menu and truly delicious food. The next three experiences convinced me to never darken their door again. I have had arrogant, cavalier treatment at the hands of the wait staff, and twice my reservation was 'lost' so that I was told I had to just wait in line with everyone else for a table. The second time this happened, after having made a special reservation for a birthday dinner, I was told that they had already filled all the tables so I'd just have about an hour to wait (despite the fact that we arrived exactly on time). It is clear that the management is more interested in filling seats than in treating customers well. We left, walked a half block to Pranzo, told them why we were there and not only were seated immediately but were treated like royalty. And the food was nearly as good as San Estevan's. You can guess where my business will go from now on. Don't waste your time.
