Outside of Santa Fe on the Las Vegas highway is an inexpensive find with new mexican, american and vegetarian choices on an extensive menu. The service and food are always outstanding, no matter how crowded it gets.

I'm constantly amazed at the people who trash Cafe Pasquale's dinner menu--I always take out-of-towners there and I don't think I've had a bad meal. Coming from Los Angeles I can appreciate the mix of pan-asian dishes with New Mexican and American. Terrific desserts, I would recomment the roasted peach ice cream any time. Service is usually good, only downside is the small restaurant sometimes makes for tight quarters and it can be hard to get reservations. The community table can be a good way to meet other people from all over.

New Mexican cuisince is like similar to Mexican, but it's slathered in a fiery green or red sauce. This place is very popular and both sauces were a&&-kicking hot. Thank goodness for the fluffy sopapillas with honey to cool things down. I had the tamale plate and DH had a pork plate. We washed it down with sangria. This place is popular with locals ... so that has to be a good sign.

My husband and I love to eat at this restaurant whenever we are in Santa Fe. Their service is always A+ and the food is always so good. Even if there is a wait to get in, it never takes as long as they say. Their margaritas are the best I have ever had. The price is always right, not very expensive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Simple yet very delicious renditions of good Mexican food. I love the red chile sauce with eggs and tender meat. Been to Santa Fe only four times but was lucky on my first visit. It is a must stop every time!
Pros: Best breakfasts anywhere
Cons: Unless you are early, you will have a long wait

The food was awesome! Great portions, and HOMEMADE bread! There is a new waitress named ANGELIQUE who was extremely prompt with my order, very alert and full of energy. My experiences with the wait staff haven't been as pleasant in previous dining experiences, so I will be sure to request this young lady for future service.
Pros: Homemade Bread; Great portions
Cons: Long wait during the lunch hour

Joe's Diner is a fun place to come hang out, have a beer and some great food. I recommend the pizza, but everything is good. Really nice servers and wonderful desserts. Again, the pizza is great. Joe's is owned by the same guy that owns Pizza Etc. in the DeVargas Mall, which is also great!!
