In short, use a different bank. We chose Pulaski Bank for mortgage on a new house, thinking that the fact that the bank is local (St.Louis area) would make this a more pleasant experience than we would have with other, bigger players. However, I must say that this was a big mistake. The rates were not the best, and the service was very unprofessional. Now we are not even able to set up an online account where we could view the balances and pay the mortgage off, even though we were told by the Pulaski Bank representative that this would be possible. The communication with Pulaski bank was unprofessional and the bank wasted a lot of our time while arranging all the necessary paperwork, we felt as if the representative was in training (yet, he was with the bank for quite some time). This bank is local, so you do get better customer service here and more personal attention than you would at a larger chain bank where they have a large number of customers and can afford to lose business. The mortgage consultants here are fantastic and so helpful and friendly. Their rates are competitive and they will answer any questions you have about the loan. They have ample parking and this location on Olive is very convenient for most people. more

The customer service from the mortage staff here is just amazing. They pay close attention to their customers needs and offer a wide variety of products to meet a wide variety of circumstances. Stop messing with the scammers that advertise on the radio and call this group of business people. more
