Buffet palace round rock 3/31/2011

My family and I decided we wanted to go have a buffet and a friend suggested this place. I was so disappointed. The food was cols and the ice cream was ice milk. When I told the waiter the food was cold he told me he would tell the manager. Then I went to check out and asked to speak to the manager and instead I had to talk to his wife who did not care about my complaints. In the end I paid over $50 dollars for four to not eat! I would never suggest this place to anyone. The sad part was even after I complained the wife informed me the the food on bottom is hot and the food on top gets cold (which means they are not keeping track of their holding times for food). When I told her the stuffed mushrooms are cold she told me they are apart of the salad bar and suppose to be. The sushi was old and the color of all of the fish indicated being held for to long. This is a food poison heaven and now my family is suffering from this bad food with upset stomachs. more

have seen much better 10/14/2009

Well, my husband & I saw the mixed reviews here & on google and thought we would give it a try anyways. \r \r Since they don't list the prices on this website, here they are: $10.95 for adults, $6.99 for children. \r \r They had ice cream, desserts, sushi, a big very variety of food. Unfortunately, the tastes of the food left something to be desired. The sushi tasted bland, the food was dried out. They had a variety of salads, they did not feel very cold. they had seafood salad but it was warm and I was afraid I would get food poisoning. Their ice cream is ""iced milk"" ice cream, which is a big difference is texture & taste. Their other desserts were bland and dry. Pros: decent prices, good parking, courteous staff Cons: risky food, bland food, bad tasting, more

Maybe it was a bad night 10/9/2009

Ok, I have been hearing radio advertisements for this place very often as of late and decided to go try it out tonight. My girlfriend and I arrived at about 8:30(Friday Night) and when we pulled up the place was near empty. When I saw this I said to my girl that maybe we should try somewhere else. She said no let's try it, so we went in. The front staff were friendly enough and since the place was near empty we were immediately seated. Then we went to the buffet. They have little to no selection and the selection they did have was not at all even close to being below average, it was terrible. Lastly they are very over priced for such a small, terrible selection. My advice if you want to enjoy a buffet go to Fujiyama or Tomas Super Buffet. Pros: They had Dr. Pepper Cons: Everything else. more

Great Food 6/2/2009

My family and I have eaten here at least once a week for the past two years because we love asian food and variety. We have never gotten sick. I agree that the bathrooms need a little more attention, but I have to take my kids often, and we've always had paper towels. The previous reviewer must have visited the restroom when they had just run out, which happens. We also have sushi there each time. My husband is an avid sushi eater, so he's pretty picky. Nine times out of ten, he is very content. The sushi and cold foods are not warm, and the food is never old. Of course, it is a buffet, so don't expect a gourmet dining experience, but overall, it is great food at a decent price. Pros: Great food and service Cons: Bathroom needs more attention more

This restaurant is a kitchen inspectors dream for failure! 11/1/2007

I recently went their for lunch with my family. I had visited years ago and was disappointed for the same reasons I am about to tell you. I went back because they advertise that the restaurant in under new management so I thought I would give it another try. However, I was very disappointed and concerned for my health. The restrooms are disgusting; sticky floors, soiled toilets, and no paper to dry your hands. Who would wash their hands if their is no paper??? The cooks??? It's amazing it was just like this 2 years ago as if nothing had changed. They do have a good variety or choices in food, but it all tastes the same and very poor quality. The cold foods are warm, which is a concern for bacteria like sushy so stay with the very hot foods at least you may be somewhat safe. The seafood dishes tasted very gamey and dirty. On a positive note the waitress was very nice! If you happen to go their after reading this please write a review! I am hoping if enough of us do it it may persuade the owners to make some needed changes! Since prior to this review their are only 2 very good reviews on I am wondering who wrote them???? Pros: Friendly waitress Cons: I hope I am not going to get sick from eating their. Read review. more

Good Buffet = Buffet Palace 2/3/2007

I love this place. Seriously. It has a comfortable atmosphere and plenty of delicious things to choose from. I am originally from Houston and I have never come across as much of a variety of asian cuisine as I have here. If you want an asian buffet, it does not get better than Buffet Palace. more

Overall, YUM! 8/9/2002

Well, I like the Buffet Palace up north WAY better than the central one. I totally dig the candied bananas, the beef and broccoli, and the little chicken fingers. BUT I do wish they had more fresh items with no sauce (maybe separate sauces we can add ourselves). In my unprofessional opinion, the sushi could be a bit better - of course it is NOT a sushi bar. This is the place we go when we can't think of anything we really want. Pros: very clean, seated very quickly, good when very hungry Cons: need more fresh items, sushi could be better, expensive more
