What an incredible, caring organization. I have no words to express my gratitude to them. Putting our boxer to sleep, due to old age, was so difficult. Today a man came to our door, rang the door bell and left a flower arrangement, from this vet, just to express their sympathy. We recieved a card in the mail as well, expressing sympathy, and giving us a beautiful paw print from our beloved dog that they did after he had passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. My family has been coming to Bigger Road Vet for 20+ years. Their staff has always been very kind, and our vet, Dr. Blakelock, is wonderful (I don't know about the others, as we've only used Dr. Blakelock; I'm sure they're all great, too!). She is always great at explaining what is right and wrong, what we can do, etc., as well as provides recommendations for training techniques and feeding. Pros: null Cons: null more

I started going to the Bigger Road Vet Clinic with my mom when I was about 8 years old. We have almost always seen Dr. Snyder and I can not sing his praises enough!! The very dog that I got when I was 8 yrs old, lived for 16 years. And when I was 24 years old trying to make that decision, it was agonizing. My 'Snoopy' (you can tell I was 8 when I named my puppy!) stayed at the clinic for a few days, to see if they could do anything, but really it was for my sake-we all knew old age had taken its toll, and I just wanted to make sure that there wasnt something that could be done...I visited with Snoopy every day, taking him out behind the clinic to walk around. As Dr. Snyder was leaving, he saw me, and actually sat down and had a conversation with me about my situation. Dr. Snyder put me at such ease that within a few days, I knew and was ok with the decison that was best for my dog. I continued to see Dr. Snyder for about 10 more years, until I moved to another city. I highly re more

My mom recommended Bigger Road Vet after taking her cat there who has health issues. She loved how Dr Talmadge was caring and compassionate, but at the same time straight-forward with her regarding her cats prognosis. When I went to see Dr Talmadge, I was equally impressed. He is very professional, and you can tell he really loves animals. He always smiles and lets my little dog give him kisses which I think is so sweet :) In addition to the great service, I find the fees much more reasonable than other vets. I have been there twice and both visits were less than $100, which was never the case at my previous vets office. I will recommend Dr Talmadge to all my friends! more

I have taken my cat here for 11 years. They have always taken very good care of him. A nice staff and office. No complaints. We have always been able to get right in. more

Bigger Road took very good care of me when my golden retriever was very sick. I was so worried, but the staff was very reassuring and the doctor I saw walked me through her treatment plan very thouroughly and asked me if I understood. Everything turned out great! I would not take my worst enemy's dog to this vet. We took our purebred Shetland Sheepdog to this vet for all of his shots and routine appointments. We were always up to date on everything that needed to be done, we loved this dog like it was a family member. He started having medical problems and this vet office misdiagnosed his problems at least twice before his final visit. The final visit they finally figured out what our pet's medical problem was and by then it was too late to do anything to help him. They kept him overnight and he died overnight in their care. Although I know they did not cause his acutal medical problem, I feel that they should have figured out what was wrong before it was too late. I think they are fine for routine things, but in the rare bad extreme or bad case I wouldn't trust them. PROS: CONS: Not experienced in advanced or rare cases more

This is a wonderful vet's office. I had found a stray cat that I wanted to take in. I was looking fo a vet to take a look at him and give him shots and then have his fixed and declawed. I was having the hardest time finding a vet to tak in a stray cat. Finally I called Bigger Road. They took the cat in right away and checked him out and was able to do everything at a reasonable cost. The office is amazing. Something you'd actually picture for humans, not just animals. more

This is a really good vet. They take care of your pets like they were their own, which is the most important thing to me. They have a nice, clean facility, and my cat really likes the staff here. more

I absolutely LOVE this vet office. We started going there with our first dog and since then have acquired three more animals. We take all four animals there and just love the office. Our favorite vet is Dr. Crocker, although all the Drs. have been nice. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a vet. One thing they could do to improve would be to offer some sort of discount to multi-pet families. PROS: Great service!
