BIG DADDY saved the day!! I was in town last weekend for a wedding. I arranged a car from Yellow to pick our group up from Radison. After 30 minutes of waiting, I called Yellow and they ackowledge that they made a mistake but still want to charge us??!! I ended up calling Big Daddy who got to us very fast and our driver was the BEST!! I cancelled another trip we had with Yellow and booked it with Big Daddy the follwing night. Again, the service was exceptional, cheap, and the driver was professional. I'm still working to get my money back from Yellow!! Pros: fast cheap and friendly more

Big Daddy was a good taxi service about 3 years ago. Now as of 2008-2009 they are terrible. You can never get a hold of them and when you do they take forever to get you. They say 20 minutes, then take 90 minutes. Never again, we use Comet and Shaggin Wagon now. Cons: Wait hours more

So I am bored and I ran across all these reviews on this local cab company. I personally use this company on a weekly basis. I have called them to get to work, get to class and also used them couple of nights back from parties. Pros: Good service. Reasonable rates. Polite. Cons: Needs to expand! Schedule ahead. Do not trust this Big Daddy Taxi! They do not want to serve you, instead they only want to fool you around. I recently scheduled a pick-up with this company. When I called them to schedule, the operator took my credit card number and then asked me my flight information and also told how much I had to pay. However, when I arrived at the airport, the taxi was not there. I called 517-367-7474. They did not ask my phone in the first few calls. Then I called again and again. Finally someone answered my call. I told him I was waiting at the airport to be picked up by their taxi. The operator told me that they would be at airport in 25 min. More than 40 min later, however, nobody showed up. I called the company again and asked how long I had to wait. They refused to answer my call first. I called again and again, finally the operator told me that the taxi was on the way and should be at the airport soon. I asked for the taxi driver's phone number and told the operator I wanted to contact the driver. When I called the driver asked whether he was coming to pick me up. they driver told me that he was not sure and needed to ask his boss!..... I waited at the airport for more than one hour and finally called a taxi from a different company. This is my experience with BIGDADDY TAXI!!!. Worse ever in America! A nightmare! I can not believe this! Since they have my credit number, I am still worrying they will charge me. If they do, I will do all I can to fight !!! more

I took Big Daddy a long time ago and was not too impressed, i recently came back into town and decided to give them anoher try. They were here right when they said they would be! The driver was so friendly. He told me they were under new management and the new owner has really been working hard to turn their business around! i say it is showing! The driver who took me even gave me his personal number and told me if i needed a ride anywhere to just call him and he will be right there! He has been so helpful and the young lady in the office was so nice, and polite! My husband had heard this company was cheap and pretty good and had used it several times wtih ok results (although the drivers were usually late). I went out for my birthday last Saturday with several friends. The driver was over 45 minutes late to pick us up, then ""accidentally"" took us WAY out of our way and of course overcharged us by quite a bit due to this. I decided since we hadn't had a problem before to just ignore this and have a good time. When we called for a pick-up no one answered the phone...it just rang and rang. When we finaly got through and I told them we needed a pick up the guy (with another in the background) ASKED ME HOW MUCH MONEY I HAD!!!! I asked how much it costs and they said $50. I live 5 minutes from my pickup location, and have taken a cab across the city for less. Even the driver that took us 20 minutes out of our way only charged us $22. When I told the person that he got extremely rude and said that was fine I could wait over 2 hours then. I ended up waiting outside for forever until I finally ended up getting through to Cosmos who were great. I will NEVER use Big Daddy Taxi again and will advise my friends to do the same. I called the cab 1.5 hours a ago. I was told I would have a 1/2 hour wait. I am still waiting. I have called dispatch and their phone lines are busy. I will never call this service again. more
