Baird Drive-In Cleaners

Last year 2007 I took my 12 piece's of clothing into bairds dry cleaning which is close to my work. When I went to pick it up a week later, they handed me only 11 peices. When I took a closer look there was a very expensive jacket missing. I asked the worker to talk to the manager to find my jacket. I gave them two phone numbers and no one ever called me back. One week later I stoped by again because no one called me. Luckly when I went the owner was there, and he told me he never got my message. He said he had never lost anybody's clothes before. He said to give me a couple of days and he will call me to if he found my suit coat. I never got a call, I kept calling but I could never get a hold of the owner. I had to waste a lot of time. I was so stressed, that I went to the store and I called the police. The employee said that he never returns anybodies calls, and he always try's to blame the customer. Finally the police had to call him and have him call me. He then finally payed for the jacket. I was so upset that I had to go through this long process, but I wasn't going to let him get away with it. BEWARE!!! terrable service more

While it is unfortunate clothing is sometimes damaged, it happens probably at any dry cleaning place. However, the unprofessional manner in response to an incident which occurred with dry cleaning a dress at this establishment was frightening. After calling in with my concern, I was asked to come back in. However, not only was there no offer for resolution, the owner actually berated me in front of his staff and other customers and scolded me for not properly understanding how certain stains cannot be removed. In response to an item that was torn off the dress the accusation that it was a faulty garment was cited. I still have no clue why I was asked to go back in just to get yelled at. It was bizarre. Not only was the cleaning service rendered unsatisfactory, the customer interaction was atrocious. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. Pros: It was close to home. That was the only pro. Cons: Poor service combined with going out of the way to be extra rude to customers more

I took an expensive Lillie Pulitzer skirt to Baird's Dry Cleaner with a tiny, less than 1/4"", stain near the hemline. I asked the girl at the window about their methods of stain removal, and was assured that they would be very careful. When I went to pick up the skirt, the stain was still there, as well as a bleached-out 1 1/2"" area around the stain. (They had apparently scrubbed at the stain to try to remove it.) When we talked to the Owner/Manager, he was very defensive, and said that I must have done it. He said his employees were ""too professional"" to have caused it. (These same ""professionals"" who were unable to answer questions in English, or converse with me!) He insisted on sending my skirt to some National Dry Cleaning Institute to be analyzed. Surprise! It was my fault! MY FAULT was ever taking it to Baird's in the first place. more
