I would suggest you consider Biltrite for your furniture needs. I am from MN and needed to get a bed for my daughter who attends college in Milwaukee. I did internet research and called some stores. Biltrite knew exactly my situation and helped me through the process, first over the phone (patience, answered questions, advice) and then when I went to Milwaukee to potentially purchase. They provided a systematic in-store review of types of mattresses, costs, etc. They understood our situation and did not try to push anything on us; only meet our needs. Their competitive pricing and superior service as a family owned business set them apart. Long story short, we got a fair price and they delivered the bed (free) to my daughter's apartment in the time window planned. Set up in 10 min. and she was all set. Everyone is friendly and customer focused. This should be the only company to buy furniture and mattresses in Milwaukee if you value price and service. Exceptional more

My family and I have been shopping at Biltrite for several years now and are loyal customers. We love the Rowe brand for sofas and chairs for the living room. Before initially shopping at Biltrite, I looked at other stores as well and went back to Biltrite for the selection, value and customer service. We were lucky enough to work with Maureen. We have bought sofas for 3 different houses and keep coming back! We also bought a beautiful cloth recliner for my elderly mother. Maureen really knows her stuff, has a great eye for color and is helpful. She remembers us every time. Since I bought my first house a year ago, I've purchased furniture from a few different places in the Milwaukee area and I must say - this one is blowing the other ones out of the water.\r \r The moment you step in the door, someone is there to help. The guy we worked with was both helpful and not overbearing. He didn't try to upsell us and was very focused on finding exactly what we needed. Their furniture is clearly higher quality than other large furniture stores in the area and I was quite impressed with the selection and prices.\r \r We ended up buying a bedroom set and were quoted 6-8 weeks. Two weeks later someone called me to set up an appointment for delivery and we were able to schedule it just a few days later. \r \r The delivery guys just left and they were incredibly quick and professional. They set up the entire bedroom set exactly how I wanted it and were here for maybe 15 minutes.\r \r I'll definitely be returning. more

We like to think we are smart consumers: we research products, shop around, compare prices and take our time. When we needed new living room furniture, we did just that. After months of searching, we found ourselves at Biltrite where we had purchased furniture more than 30 years ago. Even though we felt pretty knowledgeable about furniture after all those months of shopping, the people at BiltRite told us even more. They provided us with good advice and explained the differences in quality for the items we were interested in. Alex, an Interior Design major from Mount Mary College working at BiltRite as an intern, came to our house to see what colors and style we used in adjacent rooms; she drew up several possible arrangements for the living room. Great service and prices at this store! We live on the other side of town, but made the drive there to research Amish made beds. Maureen was extremely knowledgable and did not steer us wrong! Our bed arrived when she said it would and it is gorgeous (and way less expensive than the other places we researched). The delivery people were kind and professional, and when we realized that there was no wood pieces for the platform, they made a phone call and the wood was delivered 45 minutes later (and this was at night!) I would highly recommend this company! more

Bilt-Rite Furniture is a great place to shop for furniture. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about their products. We recently decided to redo our living room and we immediately thought of Bilt-Rite because we had had a positive experience with them in the past. We we not disappointed this time either. Rand K. helped us select great pieces that were in keeping with our goals for style and comfort, in colors and patterns that worked great with the architectural features of our living room and draperies. They also provided us with very helpful ideas for selecting colors for our walls and even recommended a painter, which we used. Deliveries were on time and the delivery crew was friendly, competent and careful in moving the pieces into our home and doing minor assembly work. We highly recommend Bilt-Rite as a very customer friendly furniture store with great, skillful staff who tend to every detail and make the process of buying furniture an enjoyable adventure. more

MATTRESS HEAVEN - We had pretty much decided on the matress set we were going to buy when we thought we'd make one last stop and boy am I glad we did. Bilt-Rite is truly Mattress Heaven, wow what a selection and at very reasonable prices. We got twice the mattress, firmer and way better construction for alot less than we originally budgeted for. After three weeks of sleeping on our new bed we are very, very pleased. Their staff is very knowledgeable and so comfortable to work with - no hesitation to recommend and to make another purchase. more

Bilt Rite is simply the best place in MKE for home furniture. I've shopped there, my parents did, even my grand-parents shopped there. They treat customers with respect and patience. No hard selling or up selling here. They want you to come back! We recently bought a kitchen set with my elderly father-in-law. Rick was knowledgeable and patient and simply wonderful with him. Explained and answered all questions. Because Bilt Rite has been in the community for so long, they know that they're going to see their customers at the grocery store, at events and run into them around town...so they treat them like the neighbors we all are. We are definitely a customer for more than a 'life-time; we're customers for generations of life-times! more

Another wonderful experience at Biltrite. We are redoing our kitchen and my husband thought we needed to add a wooden garabage can to our decor. We even got to meet a new family member of the BiltRite family named Noah. He was shadowing Randi and it was a pleasure to see that Bilt Rite is true to keeping their store here with another fourth generation person to help them to continue to grow. I purchased a kitchen set and it was delivered on December 27th (in the evening). The following morning, when the sun was shining, there were some blemishes on the table that I hadn't noticed when it was delivered. I called the morning of December 28th to report this to the store. I have called multiple times, it is now February 28th, and I have yet to get someone out to the house to take care of the issue. more

My daughter and I went furniture shopping for our living room and went to all of the major stores. Bilt-Rite was by far the best. Our salesperson, Nancy, was so kind and knew all about the furniture. She even took the time to answer all of my daughter's questions, which were not all about furniture. She took time with us to show us the different styles and was not even attempting to ""force a sale"" on us. When we moved over to the credit/delivery area to finalize the sale, the person behind the desk was just as nice. I recently purchased a leather chair and leather couch with 2 recliners, heat and massager. The leather is the best that I have seen, thick, rich color, they are fantastic. I also purchased life style bed that works like a hospital bed. Note it is not sold as a hospital bed. It has a remote control and can vibrate. It is a wonderful bed! The service from the sales staff to the office staff to the delivery men is great! I had two separate deliveries and both deliveries were handled with care. The men were friendly and helpful as well. I purchased furniture from Colders and Stienhafels in the past and that's where they will be in the past. A month and half later, I went back to buy a beautiful wood desk. It had to be order in and I was clearly told it could take 2 to 4 weeks and they have you initial it on the order form. I got a call 1-1/2 weeks later that it was in, I will be picking it up soon. Definitely go and check them out before you go anywhere else! more

Our experience at Biltrite was completely the opposite from what I expected from a big warehouse-like store. With fabulous service, extraordinary quality and longstanding community commitment, it is hard to imagine a better furniture store. Randi and Maureen were patient enthusiastic guides through all our choices and changes, including changing later from a discontinued fabric.They kept it relaxed, fun, exceptionally professional and very rewarding. We are now proud owners of a really beautiful dining set, love seat, a chair/ottoman set and a magnificent dresser, and we'll probably buy more. These are pieces we will enjoy for the rest of our lives and pass along to succeeding generations. more

The best customer service anywhere! No high pressure sales people following you around, just helpful and friendly people there when you need them. I purchased an excellent quality leather sofa at BiltRite. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They offered a great selection and awesome customer service, rare in business these days. They went to great lengths to make sure I was purchasing the best product for my needs and on top of that I loved the idea of buying from a local business that actually carried a lot of items made in the USA. \r \r I can not say I've had a better experience with any other furniture store. My first purchase at Biltrite was June 1968. I have the two bedroom night stand lamps are still in use. All my furniture purchases are with Biltrite. I come from the old school and shop around. I always compare, and always purchase at Biltrite. For the best price, slection,quialty. But maybe the fifth generation will start giving Senior discounts!!!! more
