Whenever you want the premium experience for watching a movie, The Arena Grand is where you'll want to go. Great for "Big City" feel 9/17/2005

My husband and I love coming down here! The theatre is fantastic and the seating is sooooo comfy. Plus, there are some great shops, and places to eat around there (like Ben & Jerry's). It definetly is more unique then the usual AMC places. Plus it seems like there's an "older" crowd around there and not many high school kids (no offense it's just nice to get away from that scene every once in awhile). more

Stadium Seating with great surroundings 8/16/2005

If you're debating between seeing a movie at AMC Lennox or the Arena Grand definitely go to the Arena. There are a lot of good restaurants and a few bars within a block of the building and they have the stadium seating, popcorn, nachos, etc... that you'll get at Lennox. Plus they serve beer and wine, so if you want a drink while watching a movie not at Studio 35 this is the place to go. They even have a reserved seating balcony for some shows but they could really make buying tickets for it much more user friendly. It would be nice if you could do it from the web site instead of the limited phone in hours they offer. Parking at the Marconi garage is only a dollar with movie ticket validation so support the Arena district! more

Nice theater 8/7/2005

This is a nice movie theater located downtown in the arena district. The theaters are fairly small, which is nice and all have great seats. They also have good matinée prices, which we often take advantage of. They have an expanded menu (not just popcorn) and I don't think their food prices are too expensive compared to other movie theaters. They seem to show a wide variety of movies. more

The best theater in town 7/12/2005

Arena Grande is my favorite theater because it is very clean and contemporary, but isn't over-run with throngs of teenagers. It has both the big blockbusters, and some of the smaller indie films as well. It has a small cafe on the second floor which is good for a snack, drink, or coffee. One of my favorite features of this theater is the "balcony seats" - for a little more money, you get a nice, spacious leather seat and it's assigned specifically to you for the movie, similar to seating at a play or concert. It's really the best of both worlds, and the parking is very affordable if you get your ticket validated. more

Funky Fun Movies, Part 2 6/24/2005

Welcome to the Arena Grand!. It's locally owned, and they also own the Drexel in Bexley, and the Drexel Grandview. You can expect the coolest, small budget and indie movies, in a really nice environment. This movie theatre has an awesome restaurant type concession stand on the second floor, and is extremely modern and new. It also shows more "popular" movies that some of the other Drexel locations do not. Movies are also shown VERY LATE here as well, if it's late and you still want to see a flick. This is where you go to see the movies the Oscars are given to, and where you go to see movies that make you think! more
