Dr Ang Fonte is a fantastic doctor. I have seen her for about 5 years for my Arthritis and she is a very caring doctor who believes in the modern treatment of Arthritis. She's also very concerned about my whole health and very persnickety about checking everything out and advising me on how to take the best care of myself. I credit her with quite possibly saving my life with her constant care. I'd thought that she was being a little overly-obsessed with tracking my blood test results, but I was glad she had when I suddenly developed a platelet disorder. If she had not caught it, I probably would not have been treated and could have died. As it was, she not only detected it, and insisted that I see a hematologist, but when I couldn't get an appointment fast enough to suit her, she called him herself to get me seen immediatly. She is also a general medicine doctor and this is very convenient if I happen to have an ear infection or other minor ailment and need to get that seen to at the same time, or get a quick appointment. She's very good for following up, always calls you when she says she will, and often picks up the phone herself if you call early in the morning. My husband also sees her as well for general medicine and a friend of mine that I also referred to her is also very satisfied. She's a VERY caring doctor and dedicated to her practice. She's also a real terror if you need her to communicate with your insurance company, pharmacy, or other doctor - she really gets them hopping to it! Pros: Saved my life, Treats RA seriously. Dr. Ang-Fonte has been my PCP for over 10 years. I first met her when I was admitted to the emergency room and she came over at 1 in the morning! \r I like her because she explains my ""ailments"" clearly to me; she tells me what to worry about, and what not to worry about, and one of the best things that I like about her is that she doesn't blindly prescribe medications for every little thing. She can be the ""good old country doctor"" when needs be, but is also up to date on what maladies are going around these days. I would have rated her a 10, except that yes, she does only work mornings. However, whenever I've called her, she can generally see me the next morning on a ""first-come, first-served"" basis, or, if I can wait another day, I can normally schedule an appointment within 48 hours. And, she has the best bedside manner of just about any doctor I've ever seen. Pros: Everything else about this doctor outweighs the one ""con."" Cons: Only works mornings. more

Went in for the Medical Exam. It was a total disaster. First of all, the price they gave me over the phone was completely off. She tries to confuse you with all her medical terminology, and by the time I was done with all the tests and vaccinations and stuff, it was $500+ (as opposed to $240 quoted over the phone). Took over a week to get all the results back (she only works mornings) and instead of having me do all the tests at once, she spread them over the week, what a waste of time. Do yourself a favor and go to the Sunnyvale clinic on South Mathilda in sunnyvale. Also, it's NOT by appointment, she sees you in-between patients. more
