I was shopping for BOTH tint and audio for my newest vehicle. The guy at the desk didn't even look up as I came in . I had to initiate conversation and he was obviously more interested in whatever magazine he was reading than in getting my business. \r
\r
Asked about tinting options and costs, he pointed to generic price signs on the wall. He also said they don't sell, just install, audio gear. I'd have to buy my own and they'd install it for me. He didn't seem willing to make any recommendations, either, for which audio to buy etc. (My vehicle is a bit unusual and some professional advice would have been appreciated.) Again, I seemed to be intruding on his free time.\r
\r
He was clearly not interested in leaving his chair to even look at my vehicle for an estimate--in contrast to the other audio/tint businesses with helpful and willing customer service I had visited up til then.\r
\r
My sense was that this was a part-time enterprise, staffed by a guy who had failed or cut class when Customer Service 101 was offered. (Perhaps today, he was just sitting in while the real pro was at lunch...)\r
A shame for the Alta Mere franchise. I had previously had my Lexus,Vettes and pickup done by them in Fort Worth. But not here in Plano. Too many choices to waste time (and money) on this amateurish ""business""! Don't waste yours either!
Cons: parking scarce, storefront shabby, employee not helpful, inventory nonexistent
