I attended this school... and there was no problem.. It's all up to you to have the drive to succeed.. The tools are there.. with all of the proper instructions... The only thing that really concerned me about the school... was they are battling the previous owners reputation... and ofcourse... The foolish lack of parking spaces... more

THIS SCHOOL I HAVE TO SAY IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I WENT HERE FOR A MATTER OF 2 WEEKS AND QUIT BECAUSE IT WASNT WORTH IT. THE TEACHERS DONT CARE THE SCHOOL WAS TERRIBLE IN THE INSIDE AND ALL THE STAFF CARE ABOUT IS A CHECK. I FOUND OUT THAT THEY FILED BANKRUPTCY TWICE BEFORE I ACTUALLY ATTENDED. I WAS TOLD BY THE STAFF THAT I HAVE TO BE IN THEIR SCHOOL 30 CONSECUTIVE BEFORE THE 14,000 LOAN ACTUALLY STICKS WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE IF THE SCHOOL REALLY STOOD BY THE TRUTH AND NOT THE LIES ABOUT THE EDUCATION. I LEFT IN 2WEEKS AND I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL 1MONTH AGO THAT THEY LIED, NOW I HAVE A 14,000 LOAN TO PAY OFF SO I CALLED AND I WAS TOLD THEY WERE BOUGHT OUT AFTER FILING BANKRUPTCY 3TIMES AND NOW IM STUCK WITH THIS LOAN SUCH A DAMN WASTE OF TIME. I went to this school back in 09, really thinking I was doing something for myself. Big mistake,now I'm still working dead-end jobs & have a fat loan I don't even have money to pay on. Everything they tell you is nothing but lies. The staff does not care about you, all they care about are the loans you take out so they can get paid. The only two teachers that actually teach students are ms.may & mr.d. If their even still there, I have fellow students who I went to school with who are also in the same boat as me. Believe me try anywhere except here!!!!!!! There is no organization, most of the time you have to find your own externship because alot of the doctor offices don't even want to deal with students from the school. It's ghetto & dirty, yeah steralization is a joke there. Half of the students look liek they just got out of jail. It's a disgrace period & needs to be shut down!!!! more

I am a real person and I have a good opinion of this school. My sister graduated there and has a good job. She likes her job and has good pay, working conditions and benefits. I went to her graduation and there were lots of happy people there. more

OK, in full disclosure I am NOT a student there, just a one time customer of the massage school. What a nightmare! They gave me someone who had NEVER done a full massage before. Literally. The person who scheduled me said ""blah blah, of course everyone here is an expert"" and afterwards ""oh how did that happen! i understand your frustration call JEN, the director."" Well JEN the director NEVER called back after two phone messages and a hand-written (supposedly) note. When I called back today and told them how tenacious I was and WOULD get my money back, they put me on hold (so they thought) and the woman I overheard talking about me ""oh it's two weeks later and now she's complaining, haha."" What a dunce. Not true, I just told you that I complained the day OF treatment and the whole last two friggin weeks. Idiot. Then she realized I had been listening to her and hung up! haha. Finally, they put me over to a guy, Don, who said ""i'm willinng to dig into my own pockets to put this thing to rest. when can you be here?"" thanks, don! i dread going back to that negative place for a second, but to get my friggin money back i'll do anything. it's principle. i'd be a friggin SUCKER to pay for that sh*t. the girl was well-intentioned but didnt know her A** from a hole in the ground. sorry. this place left a pretty bad taste in my mouth all around. money money money. the almighty dollar. customer servece? I attened this school hoping to have a great career! In all truth ended up with nothing but a student loan to pay back and no Career. They pull you in with promises of a better career in the medical feild and a job placement. They basically tell you what you want to hear and after you sign that student loan...well lets just say it all goes down hill after that. In my first day we got our scrubs and 3 book. The first month was great we used each book but you never ever knew if you answered the question correctly because the teachers just put a grade on it and give it back, its not like in HS when you get it back showing you what you did get wrong. As you move on you will not use one of the three books which to me was a waste of money for me to pay for an extra book I would only use once while attending school. Then you have the staff members most where ok but for the overall it was a choatic mess. Teachers came and went before I was in my 3rd month, which was a problem because you have someone teach you their way and then have a new teacher telling you everything you just learned is wrong. By the end of my 7 month there I knew where I wanted to work, but the externship cordinator told me I couldnt work where I wanted to work she kept asking me medical questions as if to test my knowledge..HELLO I attended this school for her to test me if made me feel like wow did i make a mistake in schools. If a student knows where they want to go do their externship then they should be able to go there instead of having someone tell them no you cant. After Externship the doctor office I worked for was only hiring per diem which for me at the time I could not afford to be per diem so I went back to the school to get a Job Placement. That did not happen they had me go into an office first to fix my resume so i fixed my resume, but when I was done I waited for almost an hour for someone to come back so we could fax off my resume to some jobs their to have lists and lists of places for their students to work, but nobody ever came back.Then when graduation came up it was chaos also they tried to do a graduation class picture, instead of having a game plan for how we students should stand they just yelled at us and paced us all in one area to the point a fellow student passed out and its sad when the staff just stand there looking and doing nothing. I have to say this school is the worst school do not attend it, they dont help you get a great career they get you in debt. Also when out doing my own Job Hunting alot of Medical Facilities wouldnt hire me because of this schools previous students screwed up because alot of them did not take it seriously. I am beyond fustrated with this school do not make the same mistake as I did go to a real School one that says University not Academy. Pros: N/A Cons: Too many more

I had trouble finding a school that was willing to work with me. A representative worked with me for months because I couldn't seem to motivate myself enough and couldn't pass a test to enroll. She was upfront with me and let me know that the program will not be easy. It wasn't easy but I was able to make it through the 7 months and I actually found a job. She told me that job placements only help with jobs and doesn't guarantee one. Although a job was not guaranteed, they helped me through to many interview sites and I was able to find a doctor who was willing to work with me. Go see the school for yourself. Everyone has opinions but these people really do work hard for you. I want to thank my rep. Sharon. more

I WENT TO ACADEMY OF HEALING ARTS, THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. THEY EXPLAINED THAT YOU GO TO SCHOOL FOR 7 MONTH AND ABOUT A MONTH OF EXTERN AND THEN YOU GET A JOB. ITS ALL CRAP, YOU GO THREW THE 7 MONTHS OF CLASSES AND THEN THEY STICK YOU IN A CRAPY EXTERN SITE AND WHEN YOUR DONE, YOU GET A DIPLOMA, A BILL FOR YOUR TUITION AND BACK AT WORKING IN THE FIRST JOB YOU WAS AT BEFORE YOU WENT TO SCHOOL, WITH NO DOCTORS OFFICE THAT WILL EVER HIRE YOU BECAUSE YOU TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT OF LIFE. I HAVE A TUITION BILL THAT WILL TAKE ME FOREVER TO PAY OFF AND IM BACK AT WORKING IN RETAIL. THE WAY THIS SCHOOL HELPS YOU LOOK FOR A JOB IS THE SAME WAY EVERYBODY ELSE IS. CRIAGS LIST, ECT... i signed up with the academy of healing arts to better myself for my famliy and i ... When i went to tour the school and get information everything seemed sooooo wonderful a 7 mth course thats teaches you everything you need to know and how they explained how the teaching is broken down into each month you learn things ,and they assist with jobs placement afterwards... they help with the finacial aid for those in need and BLAH BLAh BLAH .... IT WAS ALLL A LIE TO GET ME TO SIGN... academy of healing arts lied about everything they told me to get me there... They say their small classes on about 5 WRONG tthey have students who have been there for months already in the class basicly teaching the new students NOT the teachers teaching the new students... THEY DO NOT ASSIST WITH JOB PLACEMENT dont listen to them if they say they do read the ""student hand book "" which they give u after you sign ,and it dont even explain everything and is very smalll print to hide the truth... The teachers are more concered with in class lectures then hands on practice... well you can read and read a text book all day long but when it comes to actually doing it a text book can only supply you with words... PLEASE dont waste your time with this school you will find it if you do attend this school your out 15,000 and you will not be hired anywhere... i have found no where takes the little diaploma you are givin.... This school is a complete rip off. The staff here are completely unprofessional and the organization is only interested in your tuition fees. This school totally takes advantage of people desperate to make a new start in life. Substandard classes, poor teaching, the school will not prepare you for the working world, and at the end of the course not only will you not have the confidence to start a new career without the promised support from this school, you will be up to your eyeballs in debt. There are plenty of schools in this town, you couldn't do worse to try any other. more
