When I lived in Pasadena, I had a number of different theaters to choose to see my favorite movies. I often found myself going to the Academy 6, even though it is an older theater. Most of the time they show two films on each screen, so you get two for the price of one! They usually show movies that are on the verge of going to video, but a lot of the movies they show are the smaller ones that are harder to find in the first place. For $4 you can see a matinee and they stay and see the other movie showing on that screen...you can't beat that! Definitely check it out if you are into the indie film scene, or just looking to go see some cheap movies that you missed at the mutiplex.
