Parking is a nightmare 12/28/2005

The title says it all: parking is horrible when you're trying to shop at 99 Ranch market. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is: it is crowded all the time. It shares its parking lot with a lot of other businesses, such as Chinese restaurants, so that's why you can never find parking. Once inside though, you can find anything you need to prepare Asian meals: soy sauce, dried noodles, fresh produce, packaged snacks, and the list goes on. Prices are pretty good, and you can save even more if you get a VIP card. more

99 Ranch Market - Rosemead 12/26/2005

I think one of the reviewers is confusing this 99 Ranch Market with the one in San Gabriel with the Focus department store. The Rosemead branch is adequate. It's not as nice or big as the San Gabriel one, but still a great place to get inexpensive produce, fish, and meat. There's a food court next door and a bunch of smaller shops and restaurants in the shopping center, but it's a bit more runned down and not as flashier than the San Gabriel location. Still, still a good place to get your groceries. more

99 Ranch Market 9/30/2005

Actually this is just like any market except they sell asian groceries. You should check out their variety of snacks. It's not even expensive! Last time I boughht about 15 bags of chips for a party and it only cost $10! That was totally worth it. People were wondering where I got it from. I told them from an Asian market. They have great snacks people so munch your way through this store! more

Great grocery store, moderate price 9/17/2005

It is another branch of 99 Ranch Market that is quite famous in the nearby area. It is famous for its wide range of grocery and moderate price. It often has weekly coupons that are unique to this branch only. That is one of reasons that many people like to come to this store for their grocery needs. more

For all your Chinese grocery needs 8/31/2005

99Ranch market is probable THE place to go if you want to buy Chinese grocery. It is one of the first Chinese supermarket (if not of the first) to be setup and organized like an American supermarkets. As such, the 99Ranch market are usually clean and very well organized. The prices at the 99Ranch market are usually cheaper than those at Ralphs or Albertsons. They also have weekly specials which are placed at either ends of the aisle. You might need a 99Ranch club card to receive the full discount, but it is free and easy to get the club card. more

Great location! 8/22/2005

Sure you might not go there to shop but its location is probably the best in the city. There's about 4 other shopping malls near this central store, with HUNDREDS of other stores, as well as a hilton hotel near-by. This area is probably becoming the next china town! more

Great array of Asian food and supplies 8/21/2005

My husband and I have always shopped at this other Asian supermarket called Hawaii Supermarket that is located on East Valley Blvd. We decided to try out this 99 Ranch because we needed some Indonesian noodles that Hawaii did not carry. I have to say that 99 Ranch is defintely cleaner than Hawaii but the prices are also more expensive. 99 Ranch has a huge selection of Asian products but their prices are more expensive than their counterparts. The only difference is that 99 Ranch is cleaner and brigher than the cheaper alternatives, such as Hawaii and Shun Fat , bu the prices are alot more expensive. I personally would choose fresher fruits and lower prices (at Hawaii) than a clean and brigher place (99 Ranch). more

Neat! 8/9/2005

This is the market that I frequent the most when I shop for food. Not only does it have various other shopping places by it, it's rather large in and of itself. I especially like shopping for fish and meat in this market because the fish is often still fresh and swimming and the meat is properly cut and kept in proper conditions. It also stocks things I sometimes never find in any other market. This particular market is relatively clean and looks relatively new, even if it has been here for quite some time now. more
