This is my first review and must confess I am a dental coward. Dr. Booth and ALL his staff are great. Professional and very caring. Hmmm, where to start. The hygenist is the best in town. Very gentle and caring. Cleanings and checkups are looked forward to. Last week she noted a small area that had worn away. It was so minor it could have been left alone, I hardly noticed it in the pictures. Dr. Booth took a look and fixed it right there, no charge! Dr. Booth's assistant set me up with the Polanight whitening system. It is a four day miracle system. Never thought I would have teeth that white again. The location is in north Austin off 183 and they have convenient hours which is great for my work. more

As many of you stated I too have had bad experiences with dentists. Dr Booth is great at answering questions and explaining relevant things to you. I did not get any upselling of things I have no interest in, he only explained things that apply to me and I had interest in which I appreciated. He was able to do a filling on a tooth that another dentist (whos staff was somewhat rude and office was dirty) had said I needed a crown. Since then I did crack a tooth while eating and Dr. Booth did a partial crown which was very nice because he did it all in one visit with these amazing machines that fabricate your crown as he designs in on a computer before your very eyes. Now that is high tech! He has LCD screens right over the chairs that usually are playing movies but when he wants to show you something he brings the computer images to the screen and explains everything. I like that he uses the software and takes lots of pictures so I can see what he sees and can also see my tooth history. Now that is what I call "Silver Screen Dentistry", using technology to help me. I actually met some of his patients that he has done Invisalign on and they were very happy and their teeth looked great. I'm considering Invisalign as I had braces as a kid but my teeth have drifted. I'll definitely be using Dr. Booth if I pull the trigger. He has plenty of parking. His staff is excellent. His dental hygienist is very gentle and makes teeth cleaning painless. And you have a great view of the Austin Hill Country trees as you wait. Dr. Booth and his staff are all very friendly and very professional. They go out of their way to make sure you are in-and-out of the office in the shortest time possible while providing the highest degree of professional care. Dr. Booth utilizes the latest technologies in dental care and takes the time with each patient to explain in detail the current state of your dental health. During your visit he takes great care in explaining procedures and does everything possible to ensure your comfort. Besides being a great dentist he is just a really nice and friendly guy as is everyone on his staff. I strongly recommend Dr. Booth and Silver Screen Dental. So here is a run down of what you'd experience going to get your teeth cleaned or a wisdom tooth taken out or even to have a dental make-over at Silver Screen Dental. First, the staff there have been pretty flexible schedule wise. I'm a pretty busy person, working full time, going to school, and being a new father. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions in a friendly and objective manner. I had to wait for a little while, not so unusual, but there was a nice theater style waiting room to keep me entertained for the time being. Dr. Booth knows what he's doing and he does it well as does his assistants. Everything was clean, they were efficient at what they did, and there was even a tv screen to watch while I was getting my mouth serviced. My experience at Silver Screen Dental has been the best ever. The hygienist is so gentle and kind, you feel like you're at a spa. The front office staff is so friendly and personable; they remember everyone by name. They are a paperless office which is important to me. You fill out all your documents on the computer...so no more CLIPBOARD! They have a beautiful flat screen TV in the waiting area and more TV's in all the rooms and they show movies all day. It's a really nice distraction when you're having work done. Dr Booth runs a "cutting-edge" practice using all the latest technological advances. I recently got a CEREC crown. It's so much more natural looking than the old porcelain crowns because it's a little translucent and the light shines through a bit. My tooth is beautiful! Another great thing about CEREC is you don't have to wear a temporary for weeks while you are waiting for your crown to be made at a lab somewhere. They have a machine that makes it right there in the office while you wait! They also do Invisalign, I'm planning to get my teeth straightened soon. I've had crooked teeth all my life and I have never wanted to get braces. Now they have Invisalign, which uses a series of clear acrylic trays that you wear over time. I'm really excited about it! Silver Screen Dental is the best I have ever experienced (and I have been to a lot of dentists over the years)! I had invisalign done with Dr. Booth and I would say that I am mostly quite happy with the results. Dr. Booth is fine, however it is the staff that I loved (Martin and Michelle? especially--I could have her name wrong, so warm and happy to answer questions, take their time with you), and the office is very nice--there is a big flat screen in the lobby and small ones at every dentist chair. That probably sounds like a silly pro, but when you are waiting or laying there having your mouth worked on for a while, it's a lot more fun to watch Ellen than a beige wall. The only negatives I would share are that I think there might be more focus on the cosmetics of invisalign, as opposed to the functionality. My teeth LOOK great, which is why I wanted them done, but my open bite is not 100% fixed (am now told this wouldn't be fixed with invisalign alone, don't recall this being mentioned before). Also was not informed that it is very common to end up needing more "trays", despite wearing the trays religiously and the invisalign process thus taking longer than you are quoted, and that you will likely have "attachments" on your teeth, which while subtle, are not invisible like they look in the ads. Perhaps all of these things reflect my not researching invisalign itself enough first--I just think it would have been nice to have mentioned all of them in the consultation when you are spending $6000 on something...but again, overall--they look great. :) Pros: Great staff, flat screens at every dentist chair Cons: Invisalign is still ridiculous expensive more
