Review content:
I have to say that I am VERY disappointed and upset that in the previous comment that was submit, there is a response by "Trashy Roots Owners" that underhandedly implies that reviews that are not positive are not honest. That being said, I'll do my best to express my critical review of my last visit to the salon. I was one of the many customers who had an appointment with one of the three hairstylists that no longer work there, and my notification was sent in an e-mail with my e-mail address exposed. My experience as a receptionist is that when a mass e-mail needs to be sent, you create a group with the e-mails hidden or you add all your e-mails to the BCC line. I had to call to see who had replaced my hairstylist, and when I did, my call was met with a voice who was filled with attitude. I got to my appointment, and my stylist was nice but she did a bad job on the highlight touch-up. She used the words "oops" and "sorry" way too much, got glops of bleach on other strands, and fidgted with the foils too much. In the end, you can still see a quarter inch and more of roots on my hair. I was doing this to get my hair a different punky color, but at the end of all that, they didn't even have enough of the hair color I wanted to cover the highlighted strands. It's not like my stylist didn't know I wanted this color, but she hadnt checked before the service started, something my old stylist had a habit of doing. I got foil slapped on my face during the highlight process, water and shampoo in my ear during the rinse, and then, without asking me first, my stylist was going to substitute another color blend for the one I wanted. I was being a positivist throughtout this whole ordeal, even after I paid the $130+ for a service that used to cost me less than that. I went away hating my hair. I'm writing this review because I was not happy and not impressed with my service. Being a returning customer who gave close to a $1k in business in half the time this salon has been open, I will not go back again for bad attitudes and bad service. The appointment could have been handled better from start to finish, more care and tact could have been used when answering my concern, and my highlight service could have been referred to a more experienced stylist if it had been explained to me what needed to be done. But what gets me more about all this is that my review will most likely be noted by the management that I'm a "disgruntled employee" instead of what I really am...a disappointed customer. Pros: Great when I started going there Cons: Very bad service at the end
