Businiess name:  Tom Joseph Decino, MD
Review by:  Jennifer K.
Review content:
I saw Dr. Decino with my last pregnancy and was very diappointed with my overall experience. Although he had a good bedside manner and was friendly at first, that changed with an abnormal result at my ultrasound. They found some cysts on the brain of my unborn child, which is a LOOSE marker of Down Syndrome. Well, we didn't know that yet, and when he met with us to let us know how everything looked, he was too matter-of-fact. It was, "Your child could have DS because of this...it's a marker of it.." Well, I burst into tears.at the thought of it and he seemed at a loss as to what to do with me then. He just looked at me and said, "I don't understand why you're so upset." What?!? At that moment i knew I could never see him again if he couldn't understand why I would be upset at the prospect of our child having DS. Well, we did more research at home and found that the cysts are quite common and it is a very loose marker for DS. And my child did not end up having it, but that does not change the fact that he was very cold to me when breaking the news. He also made some statements about the cysts that we later found through our research to be untrue. So he was not the most up-to-date on it all either.
