Review content:
I was seated quickly and my waiter was attentive at first. I ordered a pair of summer rolls, Vietnamese iced coffee, and the duck jasmine rice dish. The first two orders were fine (the sauce that accompanies the rolls was very good), but the leg quarter of duck was burnt to a crisp. I picked at it and found two small pieces that weren't overcooked. It was a waste of money.
I tried to tell the waiter, but he never came by to ask if I wanted a refill or if everything was okay. Another waitress came by and I told her, but she said it's supposed to be like that, then handed me my bill.
I finally was able to flag my waiter down and told him. He said it was fine, until I took a piece of meat and snapped it audibly in half.
He then said, "Yes, the chef cooked it very well done, but maybe was distracted with cooking another entree and burned this. I will tell her to be more careful next time." No offer of a discount, nor redoing my order, not even an apology.
I dislike being a difficult customer, but I don't order and pay for an entree just to look at it, either. I was so disappointed that I left the rest of the food there.
