Businiess name:  Tom Gohring's School-Tai Chi
Review by:  Jim K.
Review content:
I began my adventure with Tai Chi back in Sept of 2005. I first started under my Dr's recommendation. In my case (not scientifically evaluated), I felt the benefits of practicing the form almost immediately. In additon to the anticipated effects, I have lost 40 pounds since starting Tai Chi, mostly due to not feeling the need for a late evening "booster" food bindge. Having been asked to share my story, I have chosen to share one of the many aspects of Master Gohring's school that I enjoy the most. Master Gohring has his classes set up so that you are involved in multiple activities in each class. Yes, you start learning the positions and moves, but you rapidly start learning applications to the moves--"self-defense", and we also learn the use of some traditional weapon forms as well. I think the most interesting aspect of learning from Master Gohring is that he is always looking to improve and broaden his curriculum, a sign of a true Master.
