This place is amazingly great! I found it's only been open since last OCT. (It was a saddle/leather shop for years. Sadly, there are no ranches around anymore). But the good news is that there is now a "local to me" bbq house that is worthy of calling itself bbq! I had the sliced brisket and the portion served had to have been a pound of meat. Same with the pulled pork that my companion ordered. The beef was trimmed (as I watched) of all excess fat, but altho very flavorful, was a little on the dry side -- still good tho . The pork was the "softest" and tastiest I've ever had and almost would melt in your mouth. I heard a diner at a table next to me talking about how moist the chicken was. Might have to give that a try the next time...... There were about 7 - 8 sides. All looked good. We had slaw, fried okra and corn on the cob. The cotc was very good, but the other 2 lacked much flavor -- odd for cole slaw to have no taste. I'd read somewhere else that they offer 2 free beers/diner/meal, as they don't have their license, however, on this Sat. they were out. But it is BYOB, so if you like beer w/your bbq, don't forget it at the house! Their puddin' is supposed to be drop dead good, but given their meal portions (and plenty to take home for sandwiches later), neither of us had room. I'll most go back and back and back......
