my name is keith and i have lived in the lampasas area now for 22 yrs. the flying goose steakhouse for one had lazy service and there were only about five tables on a tues. evening. Many of the food items were overpriced compared to what the customers were recieving. I am a drinker but the bar area was so loud that i could not even have a conversation with my wife. Even the bartender was loud. I have met the owner once or twice and if he wants to get things done he should be there at all times or just close the doors. the place seemed to me dingy and dirty. Even my silverware had spots on it. The meal I paid for was a simple hamburger (which I could not eat boring and bland) my wife recieved the surf and turf (which was decent but the steak was overcooked). I never write reviews but if this place would like to survive they should take all of this in. I will not go back until I hear that there are major improvements.
Pros: the air conditioning was on
Cons: food was horrible, loud unruly staff, and service was lazy
