In spirit of full disclosure, Linda Beers and Holden Withington are old friends. Linda has done landscape work for us and Holden has helped us on building and remodeling for a long time.
Give them a try. Holden is the architect and Linda does the landscape architecture as a husband and wife team and they do remodels, new construction. Most importantly, they are good folks who really listen.
Given them a call if you have a chance.
For larger projects, I'd recommend John Manos as a builder, but you were asking about architects. In the three remodels we've done the general contractor has been way more important than the architect, but that's just from our POV
