Furnace would not light. A&P came out. There is a $90 fee to show up that I was aware of. The tech diagnosed the problem as a broken ignitor. Showed me a rate "sheet" stating the flat fix rate for the ignitor is $417 unless I wanted to pay an additional $299 for an "extended service plan", in which case the fix rate for the ignitor would be "only" $354. This seemed very high to me but I was over a barrel and wanted the furnace fixed so I paid the $417. Tech swapped out the ignitor, did some other diagnosing recommended I replace the old HVA system and in an hour was gone. I checked on the internet the replacement cost for a new ignitor ranged from $25-$40. So my fix was very expensive and way overpriced. The tech was very nice and very professional BUT the labor cost on this was ridiculous. Will never use them again. I feel ripped off.
