Thinking ahead 10/22/2018

I like the fact that the crew called and asked if they could come and inspect the premises prior to install date so they would be able to show up prepared. They took measurements for the unit as well as measurements of all the materials they wood need for install as took color samples of the roofing material so it wood match perfectly. And yes the cost was more what I expected. I did not feel as though I was paying for their race car!!!!! I feel good about our decision to go with A&P for our Trane combo unit install. As far as the unit goes its functions far surpass my expectations. It is technologically advanced with all the latest bells and whistles as well as user friendly. Thanks A&P more

AC check 8/28/2017

A & P is a great company to deal with. They installed our AC unit over 20 years ago, and have maintained it ever since. The technicians they send have always been great, but our current tech (David) is the best!! He spends a great deal of time on our equipment, then spends time explaining what he did with the equipment, and more importantly, why he did it. We've been very happy with this company, and with David in particular. Thanks guys! more

Highly Recommend 9/13/2016

I unfortunately had to keep my technician waiting on one of the hottest days of the year and one of the busiest days for an HVAC company but he was so kind, patient, and easy-going about it. After that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys for any of their services. more

Furnace would not light. A&P came out. There is a $90 fee to show up that I was aware of. The tech diagnosed the problem as a broken ignitor. Showed me a rate "sheet" stating the flat fix rate for the ignitor is $417 unless I wanted to pay an additional $299 for an "extended service plan", in which case the fix rate for the ignitor would be "only" $354. This seemed very high to me but I was over a barrel and wanted the furnace fixed so I paid the $417. Tech swapped out the ignitor, did some other diagnosing recommended I replace the old HVA system and in an hour was gone. I checked on the internet the replacement cost for a new ignitor ranged from $25-$40. So my fix was very expensive and way overpriced. The tech was very nice and very professional BUT the labor cost on this was ridiculous. Will never use them again. I feel ripped off. more

Not very accommodating - Terrible service 9/16/2014

TERRIBLE! We had our A/C go out on Thursday, we called our home warranty company (American Home Shield) and they scheduled A&P to come look at our unit. A&P scheduled a time for us to meet them at our house: between Noon and 4pm the following Tuesday. The weekend was especially hot, over 100 degrees each day, and it was not fun without an air conditioner. Tuesday morning, I get a call at 8:30 stating that A&P would be at my house in 30 minutes!!?! I had to go to great lengths to move my schedule around & be home between Noon and 4pm, now they are showing up at 9am?!? I told them I would be unable to meet them until noon, as we agreed. They told me they are having some scheduling issues (because an employee was injured) and they would not be able to be there between noon and 4pm. They offered to reschedule for NEXT THURSDAY. I told them that is unacceptable, but they are unwilling to come today. I explained that, when we have an employee out, I have to work overtime to make up for it - they should too. This is ridiculous. Their dispatcher could care less about my inconvenience, only worried about THEIR inconvenience. I'm calling American Home Shield and demanding that they no longer recommend A&P. more

No one wants to spend money they don't have. Your techs explained my systems needs and pointed out how the system worked so I could understand what I needed or didn't need. I appreciated the education. I felt confident in his ability. I will use your service again! more

Everytime I have a question A & P Heating & Cooling is there to answer it for me. Sometimes they can even direct me over the phone instead of coming all the way to my house more

Had promise, but dissapointed overall. 10/29/2013

A&P have some things to celebrate about their initial service, but there were several incidents that caused concern. Overall, I believe A&P significantly fell short on my expectations as a home owner, but might provide sufficient service to property management. The system works; however, I do not believe they have any real pride in their work. I think if the work performed was appropriately reviewed by a site supervisor before deeming a project complete would have avoided a lot of workmanship issues. I've voiced the above concerns with A&P, with no real resolution. I m not sure if I would accept any follow up service. Quite frankly, I m tired of contractors/inspectors visiting my home for awhile. Suffice it to say, it s possible the average home owner wouldn't even bother to review the contractor s work at the level of specificity that I did. With that said, I would hesitate to say A&P Heating & Air is my first recommendation. Work started August 19. Permit signed off by the city on 10/15/13. more

I recently received a new unit from A & P Heating & Cooling. It was wonderful, they did great! They even have come back to check on it which is awesome! more
