Review content:
I initially took my six-week-old boxer puppy, Maybach, to American Heritage Animal Hospital for his first checkup and vaccinations. As a first-time client, I could tell that the staff cared about the animals. I was amazed by how professional and caring they were. I watched them interact with others customers too, and they treated all their clients that same way. Due to a bad breeder, my dog was only four pounds at six weeks old, and was very ill. One of the staff even took him home one night after he had a seizure, because he was on an IV and they needed someone who knew what they were doing to watch him through the night. They were always very detailed in explaining what was going on. They really took care of him, and always called and kept me updated. I've had many dogs and many vets, and I've never had one who stepped up and offered the services that they offered for me and my puppy. Dr. Cat was a Godsend. It's not a job to her: she has a real love for animals. I wish there were more vets like that. Eventually the extent of my dog's illness became clear, and through no fault of their own, we had to put him down. They treated him so nicely, and they really loved him. They called and checked up on me the next day. I'm so glad that we found them, because they were so genuine. I was very impressed. I would go back to them and recommend them.
