2/10/2014 DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! THEY SOLD A LEMON WITH 12K MILES AND THE SALES MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE ABOUT IT!!! THEY CLAIM ALL CARS UNDER GO A 125POINT INSPECTION BUT THEY DONT! PLEASE READ!!! THIS IS FOR CARMAX AUSTIN TEXAS\r
I bought a TAN 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, with 11,500 miles on it for $20,998 from Carmax, had it transferred to the NORTH AUSTIN LOCATION. Took it home and on Thursday 2/13/2014 it was making a loud noise in the engine. Called them and scheduled to bring it in on Friday 2/14/2014, they said they would look at it and if they had to replace something they’d send it to Dodge since it was covered under manufacturer’s warranty. My husband is a mechanic and says it was the radiator hose not sealed properly. They gave me a loaner Van, a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with 11,400 miles, its drove like a dream compared to the one I bought. Well on Saturday 2/15/2014 I went to see if anything had been fixed on the van I bought, they said they had no way of knowing this, and that they couldn’t tell me if it was on the lot or not. Also that they would not extend the 5day money back guarantee once it got fixed to see if it drove any better after repairs, EVEN THOUGH I TOOK IT BACK ON DAY 4! Well I ended up just returning it that day since it was already having problems with such low mileage. THE SALES MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE ABOUTH THE SITUATION, she had horrible customer service skills. SHE ASKED IF I NEEDED ANYTHING OUT OF THE VAN SINCE IT WAS PARKED IN THE SERVICE LOT, SHE LIED!!! saying she didn't know where it was, SHE ALSO TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE THE VAN WAS ON HER LOT THAT IT WAS CARMAXS PROPERTY EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR IT !!!!!!! (I paid for it I could take it if I wanted to keep it) SHE WAS A B*TCH ABOUT THIS!!! She asked if I wanted to buy the LOANER for $ 17,998, IT DIDN’T EVEN HAVE POWER SLIDING DOORS, it would cost $1,900 for power sliding doors, $1,700 for DVD PLAYER, and it wouldn’t have power lift gate, I would be spending more than the one I had originally purchased, so I said no and walked out. Well on Monday 2/17/2013 the CarMax Service Department calls me to let me know that a FEW PARTS including the RADIATOR HOSE NEED TO BE REPLACED and they will have to send it to DODGE, um WHY WOULD A VAN WITH 12K MILES NEED ANYTHING REPLACED??? IT WAS A LEMON!!! I am happy I returned or would be stuck with a van with a load of problems! THE SERVICE GUY CANCELLED THE ORDER SO WHO KNOWS IF IT WILL BE FIXED BEFORE THEY LIST IT TO BE SOLD. They did list the Loaner van online and didn’t even vacuum out the cracker crumbs from my kids before taking pictures, look it up 2013 Dodge grand caravan SILVER 12kMILES for $17,998. I did trade in a car, got $1,000 less than what it is worth, they will sell it for $3,000 more than what they gave me and they wouldn’t even sell it back to me, it and the van I returned are currently not listed but sure that will change in a week
