Maybe I caught these guys on a good day... But I have a hard time believing that.\r \r Despite some damning reviews on Yelp, I took a chance on Auto Doc for some pretty major repairs on my car because they promised same-day service and I couldn't afford to wait several days. So let me tell you about my experience.\r \r First of all, the customer service is exceptional. I've put up with mechanics' poor communication skills in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear a professorial voice on the other end of the line when I first called. Did I dial the Museum of Fine Arts by mistake? Nope, it was Dave, who apparently is the owner. Anyway, it was approaching noon, and Dave tells me he can have the repairs done by late afternoon. No begging or insisting required. Hmm, maybe these guys aren't busy enough, I thought, but okay.\r \r Long story short, I pick up the car later that afternoon as promised. Dave gives me an enthusiastic tour of my repairs, complete with demonstrations. All this after I made him wait half an hour past closing time for me. The whole time, I feel like I'm his only customer. The car was freshly washed, by the way. No big deal, but a nice little mint-on-the-pillow detail that shows that they think of the little things.\r \r As for the actual work, my car was cured. The diagnosis was the same as the one I got from a trusted mechanic in my hometown, which was reassuring, and the quotes were comparable as well. Dave let me know what other repairs and routine maintenance he recommended, which I didn't mind, because he wasn't pushy about it, and didn't talk down to me.\r \r What can I tell you? They were very fast and did a great job. Glad I took a chance on them
