\r \r DON'T BUY MAINLINE PRODUCTS (MOORE affiliated mfg company) - WON'T STAND BEHIND DEFECTIVE/FAILED PRODUCTS. ONGOING NIGHTMARE. Mainline undersink valve installed in my master bath failed, causing catastrophic damage - ruined double vanity cabinet, sheetrock ceiling below crashing in, hardwood floors below that buckling and more. 6 months have passed since contacting Mainline about this, and during that time I have submitted damage repair work bids/estimates, photos of the damage, and forms Mainline requested that I fill out, as well as spending a lot of time on the telephone trying to get some follow up. Immediately on receipt of the claim and failed valve, Moore/ Mainline itself tested the valve and acknowledged that it was defective. Despite all of that, (i) I still have received no compensation of any kind, (ii) I am continuing to get tons of run-around (internal finger-pointing among Moore, Mainline, Hajoca, Lota related companies), (iii) I am now being told that I have to start over deal exclusively with the insurance company, which entails being grilled, challenged and cross-examine over the phone by the very adversarial insurance company rep, and (iv) I am being told (VERY contrary to what i'd been told before) that my claim will be paid only if the insurance company will pay. AND the insurance company says they only recently received the claim, even tho I contacted the company and provided all of the info so long ago. Meanwhile, I'm still living in subhuman conditions with all of the damaging that resulted from the failed part the company now refuses to stand behind and be accountable for. Just so you know. Wouldn't wish this torture on ANYONE.\r \r update August 2013 - This continues to drag on. Settlement offered, but then was provided outrageously overreaching legal documents and urged to hurry and sign. Still NOTHING consistent with integrity and any true desire to do right by the customer, make the situation right... and now with adamant gag order included to insist that I remove my online posts AND not tell ANYONE ANYTHING about this experience (a couple of very narrow exceptions like, spouse, accountant, sealed court filing...)\r \r PHOTOS - added - these (i) do not include photos of buckled flooded floor (will post when I find them), (ii) do not show all the stained and popped sheetrock/ drywall (very difficult to show in a photo, but bigger'n Dallas in person), and (iii) do not show (because I so far cannot access) the mold growing behind the flooded double vanity cabinet and in the walls. And of course the pics don't show the 7 plus months of hassle, the hassle of getting bids and working to get appropriate repairs (most people hate just having to meet the washing machine repair man - believe me, this is LIGHTYEARS worse and EONS more time-consuming than that...) or all the problems of having to live with this damage.
