Review content:
I've never felt compelled to write a restaurant review online until today. Yesterday was me and my boyfriend's 3-year anniversary, and we were looking for a place to go to that neither of us had ever been. Him being born and raised in NY, it wasn't that easy, until we thought we shoud head to city island, where neither of us had ever set foot. We originally had reservations at another restaurant, but last minute, a friend called and recommended Sammy's Shrimp Box. \r \r We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer. It was light and crispy and really good! Then we had the Crab and Lobster feast for two...but it should have been feast for four, because we didn't get through half of the plate...and we are seriously big eaters, too. The crab legs and lobster were seasoned perfectly, the meat was fresh, and there was a lot of it too. Considering that a meal like that would cost over 200 bucks in the city, 82 dollars isn't bad. \r \r Our waiter, Steven (Stephano) was also really great. He offered to change our salad (which we didnt want) to something else, and he even sent us home with free cake because we were too full to eat it in the restaurant. I've never seen someone so friendly! We didnt even have to tell him that it was our annversary, and yet it was a night to remember. We will definintely be back.
