Businiess name:  Goodyear Tire Center

Review content:
I have the distinct advantage of being a woman who knows quite a bit about cars. One thing I can’t do myself, however, is alignment. I used to always use this Goodyear for alignments, until my bad experience with them: I took in a coupon for alignment, and for the first time ever, I left my car and came back to pick it up (instead of staying and supervising, as I like to do, and generally get away with being female). When I came back, the manager told me that the numbers indicated bent suspension components, and as a result they couldn’t do my alignment. He claimed that with the camber the way it was, the tire could completely pop off the rim (which was complete B.S. – the camber was not that far off). However, he wanted to charge me for an alignment check, which was the same price as the alignment would have been with my coupon! He said that they would put the cost of the alignment check toward any work I had done there, but I was infuriated – for one thing, I wouldn’t have them do the work anyway when I could do most of it myself, and for another thing, I felt that they were trying to screw me. I fussed until he waived the cost of the alignment check, and then I took my car to another shop – who, interestingly, didn’t see a problem with aligning the car for me. My experiences at this Goodyear indicate to me that they are all too quick to try to take advantage of someone who doesn’t know cars, especially someone young and female.
