Dr. Frie refused further care of our aging dog and scolded my wife to the point of tears yesterday. Why? Because I made the mistake of mildly complaining to her staff last week that a prescription made by Dr. Frei for the dog's chronic condition needed to be refilled (they had declined) or his lungs would fill with fluid and he would suffer over the weekend until the doctor was available for what they said was a required office visit this week. I asked for two days worth of pills but that, too, was refused. I shook my head in dismay over the delay but accepted it and booked the appointment. When my wife arrived with the suffering dog and very politely asked about it she was shouted at and insulted by Dr. Frei. After my wife returned home in tears I tried to call and resolve it, believing there had been some misunderstanding, but the doctor shouted at me, too, and then hung up on me. I've read elsewhere that others have suffered similar rude treatment.
