I am a big fan of chinese food. Good CHinese Food that is. Coming from New England, where in my opinion you can find some of the BEST chinese food, I have to say that Silver Star is excellent! Since my hometown chinese restaurant in Georgia closed down, It has been real hard to find a decent NON MEGA CHINESE BUFFET style restaurant. I HATE them MEGA CHINESE BUFFETS. There is no qulaity put into the food. Not the case at Silver Star. Silver Star is a sit down order off the menu restaurant. There was a particular item I enjoy that wasn't on the menu and I made the comment to the waitress about it. It wasn't a big deal to me, and I ordered something else. She came back and told me that Jack, the owner would make it for me if I wanted it, even though it wasn't on the menu. Now thats what I call service. He didn't have to do that, but he did, to make his customer happy. I applaud him for that, and the dish was excellent too! The staff is very friendly, the drinks are cold, and the food always came out hot. I highly reccomend Jack's food at Silver Star Chinese Restaurant! Even though it is a 45 minute drive from my house, so far it is my Chinese Restaurant of choice. And pricing is very resonable with great portions, and PLENTY of parking!!
